have a good trip :thumbs-up: just remember iff you gonna be sick, dont do it over the multiplyer, when you reel it flys everywhere the water starts to get a bit clearer down that way,so there may be a few about :thumbs-up:you will probably be using mackrel as a tope bait,so the skipper may put you over a few first to get fresh bait,

very nice,..did you get it on peeler crab...? whatever the bait...welldone
-
you cant beat it when its like that......looking at the gear and the float, line across the top of water etc.....were you floater fishing..?

Never mind the show shit.......how did it work and what was its style?.........how many times was it dug and did it stay?.......how many seasons digging under its belt. Before anyone gets all hot under the collar, these are genuine questions. well any one going to answer this mans question..?seem genuine enough questions to me..!!!!

sorry mate,i thought you was asking what ray i was holding
-
wife ,i was overwellmed with guilt about taking the pound coins off you lads,so much so i had to call into the offlicence on the way home and spend it on a few beers to make me feel better about it ...scuba1,the ray is a "small eyed"

had a trip to a south wales shore mark in search of a fish or 2,well the only rays i seem to catch are that of the sun lol,so it was a nice suprise when this small eyed ray pulled the rod tip over on the first cast,at a guesstimate i would say the fish was around the 9 pound mark, and it was put back to fight another day....bait used was sandeel fished on a pulley rig :thumbs-up:
-
nice one mate,i know how busy you and tekel are now to get around it all, keep it up lads :thumbs-up:
-
a wind up me thinks.iff not bizz, useing your dogs for stud mate,to me is the blind leading the blind....perhaps you dont get that much work for your terriers, and therefore see the need to cram them all in on the chance of a find ,to give them the work, iff you can call it that....in my opinion, its better to have one good un than 3 or 4 inferior ones....one dog ,one hole..

the bags the local paper boy uses, turn it inside out, easy on the shoulder, and nothing leaks out,,.. :thumbs-up:

wheres the best place in england or wales to go carp fishing
hafod replied to alix's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
i have noticed alix, that south wales is shown on your location,so a few venues around that area, iff tredegar house does re-open,deffinately worth a go as mentioned, llyswen carp lakes near talgarth offer both syndicate and day ticket with a choice of lakes to get the buzzers screaming, llandridnod wells is throwing out a few fish, not as prolific as it was back in the 70"s,but the syndicate there is improving all the time, day ticket is also available there....hendre as been mentioned, also just up the road you have the morgans and woodstock lakes....i will add this one at the end, which is bryn bac -
this happened to a lakey bitch, always in the winter months,it started happening from approx 3 years old onwards, and got worse every year,i took her to the vets and a simple skin scrape indicated a hormone problem...a change in diet helped slightly, but it was for ever happening around the colder months,it never effected her working ability etc,but became an eyesore...i tried all manner of medications, including ointments, shampoo"s,but as the vet told me,just leave it run its course,...as the bitch reached her older years,it did start to improve,it always affected her flanks, and base of tail the

wheres the best place in england or wales to go carp fishing
hafod replied to alix's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
ok alix, when you say the best carp fishing in wales or england, what is it you are after,is it ie,maybe a day ticket water,or syndicate water,do you require plenty of fishing action with plenty of takes,or maybe sit it out for a few days in the hope of a lunker on the bank...carp fishing as really taken off in rescent years, and now the market caters for most anglers needs...be a little bit more specific in what your after and i"m sure a few carp fishing venues wil be put your way....good fishing :thumbs-up: -
this argumment will go on for ever in a day...its a sad fact that that it comes to this, there is a time and a place for a rifle, and i have no argumment for that, but what really gets to me is basic things like when a farmer is loosing stock....in the days of hounds, iff a farmer woke early to find stock killed the hounds were called immediately and a drag was tacken off the killing scene and the chances are the culprit was tacken, now with the new laws this is much harder, instead of getting the true culprit,a person with a rifle turns up equipped with lamp and maybe a lot of foxes will be shot,ma

one of the prettiest linear mirrors i have caught, around the 18 pound mark....a 5 day session on a lake, every evening i would feed a few handfulls of active 8 pellets under my feet in the margins and every morning they were gone,i did not introduce a bait on the pellet till the last night ,in an hope to gain there confidence on the free offerings,a bait introduced on the last night amongst the free offerings in the margin produced this fish,,,,,,,
-
there are so many good baits out there these days, there isnt really an excuse for anyone to use a bad bait, they have boomed in the last 20 years or so...for instance...iff you were a bait company field testing a bait, you get your field testers on a water where there are big fish...you fill the water in with the bait, everyone fishing the lake is usuing that bait, the next few weeks reports on fish caught from that water, were on that product.....its going to be,it was the only bait going in there, but the public read about it,and hey presto, its suddenly the in bait..!!how many fish have been caugh

shamo.save your money and get a b+f,as poacher said, they wont pick up in a metal pipe, but iff unlike me you read the write up you have with it in detail,it explains this,..have heard of one other incident where overhead pylons interfered with one, apart from that ,using one myself and other lads i know, they certainly are the way forward...havent used a mk3,so i can"t comment on that..mk 1 were ok,but iff i added up all the money over the years that i have spent on collars and the odd box,i could of easily bought a b+f and had change..read a few posts about the size of the collar on the b+f,but
