Hunting gun fired at cat
A RIPLEY man has warned pet owners to be on their guard after his cat was shot with a hunting weapon in the town two days before Christmas.
Its the second time in six months a cat belonging to the Broughton family of Almond Avenue has been targeted.
Gingy, a one year old ginger tom, was lucky to survive after emergency treatment but still has one of the deadly pellets lodged in its side.
Owner Kenny Broughton said: "We had three cats but six months ago one of them came home in extreme pain. We decided to take it to the vet in the morning
