Thats the type of Greyhound imo to use especialy to put back into a Coursing type line. Fine Boned, Streamline not to Powerful From Staying Lines. But well Bred and Mad Keen. i hate to seem liek im picking on u max cos i agree with some of teh stuff u say..bu tadding that to a purpose bred coursing dog would lose wind desire and have more injuries ..i had a 1st x saluki greyhound yrs ago i matched it but he wasnt as good as a purpose bred dog cos he was getting injuries all time and i couldnt gethim fit

surely its not the fault of the lad with teh stud but teh lad who bringing inferior bitches to it ..they are the ones kidding themselves.. i can only speak of lads what are into teh coursing game 500 pound for a well bred pup out of quality stock is nothing imo u are not guaranteed it will make teh grade but teh percentages go up... for me to get a pup out of my old bitch to a dog i wanted to use cost me 1000 and 2 pups .

no dont think so dont think he ever went for big money cn never paid a lot for him he got himwhen he finished coursing I heard he went for 2000 at just over a year? maybe not a massive amount by standards that some coursing dogs have swapped hands for but still a lot of money. to be honest id never heard of him till cn got him ..just heard stories how good he was or how shit he was ..ut he has produced some decent stuff... think cn got 2 g this month off him lol

my last post on the subject of greyhounds max u mentioned merlin eve line when was the last pure greyhound put into this line and do u think putting a greyhound to something liek foxy would have added something to her... and to poacherpocket a geunine inquiry do u think when you was running these minshaw yrs ago was there enough accessiblity to a good coursing english dog and would u have added that rather than a greyhound...and what was the old minshaw type feet like.. lurchers are liek football teams everyone has a different fav but its up to the individual to choose what he wants or

surely u pick a stud dog for its quality in the field ....what quality does a greyhound bring to a working lurcher apart from speed.... so if u adding it to a strain u using it for speed and teh bitch or dog u putting it too wasnt fast enough or good enough for teh job it was doing .... so in my opinon wasnt up to the job itself...surely a good dog minshaw x a good bitch minshaw is better than putting a top greyhound to a minshaw.... sorry for hijacking teh thread just that i feel passionate about keeping teh working qualities of good old working strains intact.. edited to say i haven
