  12. why do you find the need to take them out to eat ?,and why mince it ?,all you need to do is chuck their meat in tonight and remove any left overs in the morning
  13. my ferrets love mice , i say chuck them in
  14. i always have dry food down for them ,but i feed my kits fresh meat ( say 7 kits on average ) 1 average rabbit roughly chopped up so they all get the chance of a piece ,and i usually feed them about 6 to 7 oclock when the flies have died down and any left over in the morning is taken out
  15. nice ferrets you have ,but you have spoiled their fun now
  16. i usually put the hob back in when the kits are roughly 10 weeks old ,when they are robust enough to take the odd knock or too
  17. i have a jill she is 4 and she has spent the last 2 years on her own as she will not live with any other ferret
  18. a kit on its own, going to a kid who is at school all day is cruel, it will be pulled from its litter mates and wont know whats hit it, if its a pet it should be in a pair a pup is pulled from its mother and litter mates you dont get 2 dogs ,ive had the odd ferret what hates every other ferret they have to live on their own just for the sake of the other ones
  19. i use a vas hob and he was worth every penny, he cost £25 to get done is that what they charge for a vasectomy only £25
  20. your vets prices are unusual ,with the cost of a simple jill jab £20 and a vasectomy operation £25
  21. one of my ferrets once fell in my pond ,he went mad couldnt get out quick enough
  22. i heard that you shouldnt use bark ,something to do with moulds growing on it when it gets damp its poisonous to the ferrets .not sure how true .my court has a concrete floor but where they do their poos i put shavings so its easier to clean up,and having a concrete floor its easy to wash out
  23. i use shavings but mine has a covered roof
  24. last time i took a jill it cost me £5 ,same as the one has said ,they can come back into season .its a short term solution .you are doing the right thing by getting a hob done yourself for next year
