it really does depend on what types of vet you go to ,eg town /country vets ,i have been ripped off by vets but ive found myself a really great country vet ,i took a stray jill in last summer and she needed an emergency spay ,vet was out and saying ferret was coming round from the op before i had finished signing papers thought then it would be a second mortgage ,but i was only charged just over £35 .so just get the phone book out and ring around

being as my names been mentioned lol,i agree with kay ,cheap is crap ,you want your ferret to work for you then it needs to be healthy so a good diet is needed

its sad whats happened but we only have one side of the story here ,i really carnt imagine the farmer shooting all 3 dogs for no reason .all the story isnt being told in full

as said before 2 is best ,i have 26 all outside in large sheds ,if kept clean they wont smell but with all animals they all have their own scent ,as for looking after them give them somewhere warm and draft free if possible as much room as you can ,and give fresh meat and water daily and plenty of handling ,read up on the internet or get a few books from the library

if they want to eat dog then it up to them but i dont agree with how alot of countries skin them alive ,ive often wondered what a ferret would taste like on a kebab stick lol

so if he had left them and they started fighting each other instead over the bird,then he would have been in the wrong ,my 2 terriers got a belting last night for fighting after spending the day eyeing each other up . its just gone to far same as smacking children ,im not saying go round and beat the living daylights out of them but a quick smack on the bum never did me or my children any harm,and i wouldnt put my hand in the middle of 2 dogs falling out ,they all need to know what is right and wrong
