you could padlock the gate and give a spare key to the landowner and tell him you thought that it was in your best interest to do so,or maybe hide and wait close by give the feckers a lesson in safety and respect for livestock

what do you use ?i use a stuffed,dried rabbit skin stitched together with garden twine stuffed with heavy material so it can be thrown far ,plus it gives the dog the natural smell of a rabbit?
how many of you shake the lamp on running rabbits to dazzle them ive seen it done on video youtube ect ,do you think it gives the dog the edge over the rabbit or something else ive never done it myself

yes get your pup indroduced to stock as soon as possible the younger the better take the pup into fields where there are sheep cows ect if it shows any interest correct it by giving a tug on lead with a no command or something like that once you get the pups attention just walk around for a bit then let the pup of the lead if you feel that it has your full attention then take it from there thats how im learning mine just keep doing this every week or so until the pup gets us to being around stock things will soon come right for you hope this helps alb martync
ive got a three month old pup that im stock breaking at the moment and i normaly have my pups jumping retreiving and learning them to run down the beam on the lamp by six months old and by twelve months old fully trained hope this helps
