    the average cost of a lurcher was 20 quid back then,lurcher to lurcher that is.and the dearest dogs were the beddys greys and deerhound greys which were selling at 180

    ok i got started in this roughly 25 plus years ago i was walking over some common land and saw a couple of lads day working a deerhound greyhound and terrier i got talking to them and tagged along with them and havent looked back since.my first lurcher was a bullwhippet x collie and my first terrier was a border lakey, my lamp was a lucas lamp off a citreon dolly 2cv home made but was just effective as the ones you see these days. to guess the amount of rabbits hares ect ive taken over the years would be in the hundreds,thanks for reading

    the sire is a cracker i paid 150 for our dog he had a lot of training was introduced to sheep at 3 months old we can lamp with him with out a leash on,he will bring em back live jumps gates when needed to,i spent weeks looking for this type of dog and all the patience has payed off now.i wouldnt have any other breed full stop

    i own one with the same breeding and they dont call them pocket rockets for nothing,rabbits dont stand a chance ours is like a patriot missile once slipped the acceleration is outstanding, there is no reason why your dog shouldnt be any good on the lamp

    dont think anyone in there right mind would sell a good dog unless they were really skint or something drastic came up and had to get rid asap

    id go for the pup option at least you will be able to train it at your own standards and not have to worry about buying an already working dog that may have bad faults somewhere due to lack of good training,i think anyone can and would find time to train another pup if they really want an addition to a team alb martync

    seen an ad on here which read as follows,lurcher for sale works day and night will do anything you put in front of it and is a real grafter 500 notes for a quick sale. so i bought it but i think this bloke might be telling fibs as the dog was delivered to me this morning what do you think of it
