You wanna see the state the ewes are in!!
-
Very few to be honest mate. But guess it would only take one...but I'd be surprised. There is drake in there, but she's very clean still.
-
Not far, still in its paddock. Furthest clump of feathers 15yds away. Yes, I think so as no signs of attack, cuts, puncture wounds etc. Also there a Guinea fowl in same group (the misfits 3 ducks 2 Turkey's a Guinea fowl & a cockerel!!) who kicks off if fox etc sniffs about during day.
-
Duck bit off colour when I let her out this morning, picked her up nothing obvious. Locking away tonight, spotted some feathers, followed them expecting worst and found her like this.... What could take the feathers/skin off like that but not take her away?
-
Those 15 misses will blur into all the others as you get older. But that high pheasant will keep getting higher! By the time your telling your grandkids, it'll be a 65yd screamer that dropped snow on uncle stavros as it plummeted down like a falling meteorite!
-
There are worse scenarios to come home to involving your missus and someone else's nuts....
-
Oh you can't leave us hanging like that man....!!!

Old AND simple!!!!
-
Just not one of them ones with a bloody pheasant tail in it! Might as well wear a badge saying "twat face"
-
Going by my trail camera footage, we have a hell of a lot of brock but only few glimpses of Charlie.

I've only read the brief version (but have download the main one, geek!) Basically it proves that on area with regular fox control the ground nest birds in spring did much better, on average there was 47% less foxes in the controlled areas. Interesting bit about immigration of new foxes into an area, big variation but on one estate it was 2 foxes a week.

To be honest Si I meant I was annoyed because I'd rather have had a shot at the pheasants instead of squizzer. Still, its one less on the feeders.
-
Interesting. Seen muntjac plenty and reports of roe but not seen myself. Never a mention of fallow. Contractor in there felling a few a minute, once he done I'll get a camera up there. Thanks for input fellas
-
My hunting today resulted in two squizzers and a crow. As much as I had fun on a driven day last weekend, I much prefer stalking around a woodland by myself! Only annoying thing was that shooting 1 of the nut munchers flushed two pheasants 45yds to the right of where I was about to go next!
-
How do fellas, Question for the stalkers & trackers on here. Found two different size tracks in the woodland on our farm. I know we have muntjac (picture 1?) just wondering what the larger ones could be(picture 2)Put cartridge down for scale/comparison. Cheers.

Our birds are eating lot more than usual too apparently. Shoot captain said they've used same amount of feed at minute that usually lasts until end of December. Probably down to Brexit!!
-
Ye cheeky b*****ds!!! I can't complain to be the type to regular do a tie! Needs must

My attempt at turd polishing! First day with my new syndicate, great fun despite most of the drives requiring waders!! Shot very badly first two, had long talk with myself then it improved! Highlight was second to last of day, dropping a high & rising cock bird in front dropping right behind me, very satisfying. The dogs worked incredible considering the amount of water. ?
-
Its fantastic mate, never let me down. No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!
-
Was anybody crazy enough to be out in it?? Hope everyone stays safe ?

I wear this at work https://hollandscountryclothing.co.uk/products/deerhunter-greenville-rain-jacket?variant=6191317155875&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google Shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAh5_uBRA5EiwASW3Iagj4ioksp6U2R4i0ZP37rVJgmrUiQJMIGJwpkLMzOfIvOYZOW7ba7xoCtgkQAvD_BwE Its exactly as you say, totally waterproof but not lined/insulated. Its ideal to keep you dry when your grafting as you don't work up a sweat.

I saw ya!!

You should enter that into countryfile calendar photo competition!!

Can he shoot driven birds as well as he shoots Charlie?? Really glad you had a good day after your washout last time. And check out the shirt & tie; who says you can't polish a turd???
