    How do fellas Gonna treat myself to a semi after lambing. Any recommendations? I like the look of the A400 with kick off. Also have maxus in the mix. Can anyone suggest something different? No longer than 28" barrel, ideally multichoke. Currently have armsan a612 which is fine but fancy an upgrade. Cheers

    My gaffer has the 410 version of that mossberg Si. With subsonic rounds it really is very quiet, the 'pumping' click clunk is louder than the shot!

    One of the most annoying things at lambing is when a ewe rejects her lamb for no good reason. This little lamb was rejected two days ago & been on bottle. This morning one of the single bearing ewes looked like lambing so I grabbed the reject & a bucket!! Quick bath in some amniotic soup and "congratulations you had twins"!

    I've never liked the woodwork on my beretta o/u horrible shiny coated wood. Has anyone here stripped their woodwork & re done with an oil finish? Nitro mors? What oil to finish? @Sausagedog I can imagine you've done this...

    I've had success year round mate but just alter your style. If on fresh cut silage then as many decoys as possible. Same for stubble or drillings. During spring I make a rough nest of twigs, broken egg shells in it, one crow by nest, one on the hedge; less is more. This time of year I spilt open a rabbit, again only a couple of decoys.

    Showtime. Set of twins & single. The single had been suffering with TLD, so nice to get positive result. Moved to mothering up pens, check mum has plenty colostrum & leave them to get to know each other!!
