    Try putting a layer of straw over the top of wheat, it'll get them scratting about & pecking and pick up some grain. Might save it being a total waste.

    When I first left school I worked as an underkeeper & in my first week was feeding a pond and got wellys stuck. Went to pull out but left boot behind, sock right in calf height, tried to get back in boot quick, missed and landed on my arse barley sack landed on top of me. 'Keeper kept dead pan and says all the estates toilets discharge into that pond! 16yo me believes him, tries to clamber out & that's when he starts to crack up!

    Like you said though mate still better than work. When you're sat in old folks home, slippers on wrong feet & no idea what you had for breakfast, you'll still remember that day with the disappearing pheasant.

    Same mate last night out after Charlie. Started off alright but half hour in and was thick enough. Stuck at it another hour but couldn't see much beyond 30yds home for half ten! Needed fog lights driving home & forecast app still saying cloudy & dry! ?

    Will potentially (wrongfully) depend on what your constabulary will grant on 1st application, where are you? I'll get pelters off some people (hello Ianm!) but if you're lot are iffy about CF on grant + limited rifle experience, then I'd suggest HMR. I only have hmr at moment, (no variation until January then im getting a .204, that'll make Ianm be my friend again!) mint on rabbits & crows & I've had few foxes now all under 100yds. Its a foot in the door with some forces.

    Slightly different but I sent my section 1&2 in on Monday to have address changed. Got them back yesterday ?. And mine aren't doing variation until new year.
