Mixed grazing works well- cattle worms don't affect sheep, and likewise sheep's don't affect cattle. Any worms ingested by the other species will kill that worms (sheep kill cattle worms & vice versa)

Cheers for couple of mentions. As said, goats won't eat enough grass to achieve what your after. And they are just a massive pain in arse. Your issue this year is everything is over priced, cull ewes included. Just been one of them years for live sellers. If it just to keep grass down I'd suggest a whether from something like a mule, they the lowest value. You will need a flock number/cph if you want to move it on (dead or alive) at some stage. If you want it for long term then go easycare or exlana, no shearing, no flystrike, probably no worms. But you'll get less £££ if

How do chums Bit of collective thought gathering... Mate of mine from back home has decided he wants a shotgun, clays mainly. He's asked if I'll go down as his reference (his thinking being that as I have licenses that plod will think well of that ??) But the thing is I don't want to. I don't think he IS a good candidate for a gun! He's a mate but he can be a nob, especially after a few bevvies. He's often in bother & has a record. Now I don't think his force will grant him one & totally selfish, but if I did put my name down & they did say no, would that look bad
