    I can honestly say the business cards worked for me. But still talk to someone face to face (don't just post card and scarper). I've had couple permission where he's said no, pocketed card & called me back months later to ask if I'm still interested. Trouble with asking here mate, everyone has permission or in same boat as you. You might get offer of the odd day alongside someone (which is great don't get me wrong) but unlikely to result in your own perm where you can go when you like.

    I'll be the first to say it; only way is knocking on farmers door mate. Be polite, dress sensibly (not head to toe in cammo) and if possible have a business type card with your name number & the reason he has the card in his pocket. And if it's a no, take it on the chin & remain polite. Best of luck.

    Budget? Use? Chamber? I cant fault my A612 for a work tool (rides in tractor or bike with me). 4 yr warranty, under £400 brand new, tough, not pretty but does the job. 3" chamber SP. 28" barell but I've an extended Mobil choke. Lad I shoot with has an affinity and i really like that too mind.

    Do you wear them? Can someone reccomend a pair for me & my 6 yo who is desperate to come out with me. I wear little plastic plugs in ear type but thinking of getting some over ear defenders as left ear was ringing a bit earlier this week with 12gauge. Cheers.

    Dear all, I have a confession, today was a career low. The good...having wrapped last silage field, thought I'd treat myself to couple hours decoying. Had intended for crows but pigeons committed fantastic. Ended 2 hour session with 17 pigeons & 4 blacks. One particular satisfying one, pigeon doing cocking flight, flap flap glide, flap flap glide, flap flap BANG. The ugly.... A612 jammed for first time, very annoying as you watch pigeon jink away.
