    Got my interview next week for my FAC application. Put in for HMR & sound mod. What kind of questions can I expect? Should I even question his/the force opinion on HMR for fox? Do I have to specify what I do plan on using it for or do I ask for ALQ? And I'll have some biscuits in!!

    We've put fair few lofted nest boxes on flight pond, had plenty activity all summer. They're all really keen on overall conservation side of it. Only put in for 17HMR this time. Gonna add 223 when move house next year.

    Got on a local small shoot mate. Been helping out there since June (?) only a few of us, release small amount & have flight pond. Roll on October! Ps stav have my FAC visit in 2 weeks!

    I'm the same mate, love gathering ewes using bike. Have even been known to dive off it and tackle a ewe on the move (did hurt my hip but I didn't let on!)

    Know exactly what you mean. 8 years ago I had to shoot a boxer that was chasing inlamb ewes. I felt absolutely shit for days after. It wasn't dogs fault. I tried to catch it, tried to call it/whistle etc. Worst part was it turned out to be the village vicars dog, someone left vicarage gate open and dog was off. Bad day at the office.

    She's 10 now and lost good yard or two of pace. Used to be mint on bolting rabbits. Still gets squirrels. And occasional cat....?

    My parents have a cocker. Every day cats wander through their back garden, cat sees this brown dog lumbering up to them, cat judges time and distance and jumps onto fence just before dog reaches. They were looking after my whippet X when I was on hols....cat misjudged that f****r.
