minimum land for 22. LR Riffle
Sasha replied to james.5385's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I had mine issued with the Warwickshire Police and the firearms officer said to me that they have no lower limit and that they judge each piece of land on it's merits. Best of luck pal -

Evening, I took my 7 month old Cairn X bitch ratting on Sunday with some friends. There was about 7 terriers in total and by the end of the day we had 36 rats. My terrier didn't seem interested at all!! Just mooching about. When we play at home she searches and ragges her toys like a trooper, but not on Sunday. Help please, do you think she might have been a little overcome with all the new dogs running around and people running around shounting and banging things? Is the anything that I could do at home to help her when we go out, training tip? My good lady said she thought she mi

Pretty much as the title says guys!! Went out Lamping last night and it never stopped pissing it down with rain. The dog ran her heart as usual but kept getting dogged down in the deep ground. There was a lot of deep puddles around and the bunnies were scimming across the top. We only got one bunny and I was soaked down to my scats!! Has anyone else had this problem and is it just best to head home?

Hi, Bought a 10amp Deban lithium battery last month and it's great. The weight saving from a sealed battery is amazing. Even light all night lamping has been great, no dimming. The only thing I have been advised on is the tape the cable to the battery so that you are not pulling on the Deban connector which are prone to becoming lose. Happy lamping

I know this won't apply to many people on here but I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Warickshire Firearms officers. Sent my FAC off last week and letter applying for an open condition and recived it back today with an open codition granted, and a follow up phone call. I read alot on here about people not happy with their firearms officers so just thought I'd give them a few browny points !!!!

Got my .22 LR Rimfire rifle back in June and was wondering which way you lot find best fillinf the pot? Do you like Walking and shooting from a shooting pole, from a hide set up by a warran or from a vehicle driving around? Also what sort of time do you find best to go out? Dawn, dusk, midday or at night with the lamp? Many of you have any luck in the middle of the day? Whist we're at it, what weather do you find best? Cheers

Thanks mate. I've been out with some experienced mates last season which helped so must try and go out with them again. My bitch is a 5/8 greyhoundx3/8 bull. She's two and a half years old and in my eyes a lovely dogs. She's worked well for me last season and ok so far this one but now we've got her first season over and done with I wanted to go at it full pelt this year but it's been a bit of a let down so far.

This is only my second season lamping and I am real keen to get my two year old bitch working well. I've been out about ten times or so now and seem to find that theres nothing about. I was wondering if anyone else has been having this problem recently or is it something I've been done wrong? I know that there have been alot of very still nights which haven't helped my course. I've been going out about two or three hours after dark and trying my best to be as quiet as possible. We have had about 5 rabbits so far but I see on her people going out and catching dozens and wondering what I'm d

I have a Bullx who I rescued about a year ago. She's 18 months old and lives up on the yard in a kennel and run, where my girlfriend keeps her horses. She is as good as gold with coming back, on the lead and basic commands, and a very sweet natured bitch. There is one problem that gives me great concern. There are other dogs on the yard that have been there since she has, which are no problem, but there are two that have arrived in the last three months, a collie and a terrier and my Lurcher has taken a massive dislike to them attacking them on three accations. Once resulting in the collie
