not sure what the law is but if the dog catches young rabbits or if we catch young rabbits when ferreting i drop them in my pocket and let them go later on on some ruff ground near home

i personaly think they are great workers on most quarry and ground they are courageouus little dogs with all the heart of any dog with great speed and stamina no matter what other people say ! they have been the best choice of running dog i put my money and time too!!

There's not much goin on on here today start fort i might start something. What would you say the ideal running dog size is?. i'm a whippet man myself 19and a half both my whippets are small and very fast which suits me with small feilds and not many big eared big rabbits about any more we just do alot of ferretin . what everyone think?

take your time and do what you think is best with the dog because you will no the dog better then anyone else!! they basically train them selfs mate what you need to sort out is obedience recall and stock breaking!! they have treamendus prey drive when the bunny moves he will chase!!just socialise at every chance when young and most inportant enjoy the time with him!! i totaly agree with slip and parkstone! The whippet with need success also. It's like every hunting dog success is what drives them

whom every you talked to probable only seen them in books ! i havea four year old bitch which hasnever been injured easily never been knocked up well only by my other dog which she has seven lovely pups lol if your working in smalls fields there is no better dog my opinion she has little cuts now and again but dont all longdogs. and as for shivery when were ferreting out i the open yeah she shivers but not before me lol.
