  1. Haha thanks that will mean alot to her. She's drawn some cracking stuff then she leaves it a year and doesn't pick up a pencil so I've been trying to encoi8her to use her gift. So if I can get a few sold I'm sure it'll boost her confidence no end.
  2. Checked this morning on way to work. The bunnies are still l there, they are in and out the wood line further down so I think they're using a main run further down than my trap is set. Looks like I'm getting the hedge cutters out on my day off Friday.
  3. Hi guys. My other half is a great drawer but always puts herself down aboit it so I've been trying to encourage her to e her talent. Here is a picture she recently finished, I'm getting some prints done that she will sign and they'll look great frame on the wall. Will be looking for a tenner plus postage for a print signed. I'm hoping I can get a few copies sold to build her confidence and get her drawing more as it's a shame for her to have a talent like she does and not use it as she thinks she's not any good which is wrong. Here it is.
  4. Well I've checked 2 mornings on the trot and nothing, and not seen the rabbits since that evening before I set the trap either. Seems very odd?? All I can guess is there ls a hole further back in the scrub they're using and this isn't a main entry to the Warren although it's definitely well used. They can't just disappear overnight.
  5. Well all my Traps been up the woodland since last season, but I find the squirrels don't start getting caught regular in the snares and fennd until later in the year when the cover and food dries up. Other day took a walk down a lane I've not been since I was a kid and low and behold, 5 rabbits on a hedgerow. So I walked closer and the bolted. On the back of the hedge is a rusty old gate and it's overgrown. Had a nose about, digs a everywhere and didn't take me long to find the main hole and run that takes them throb the hedge into the field I saw them. Problem is ithe redt is comp
  6. Pm me il lsend you a few bands theraband gold and some 1745 tube just cover postage
  7. Thanks micky I'll get one set tomorrow. There's a few good places there for a snare also but I think a fenn is the way here as its the one hole they're using to fly into the fields. I understand what you mean about rabbits dissappear though I saw 30 odd in a field one year and I went a week later to snare it up and didn't see any and havnt since in that spot, very odd.
  8. Micky, I found a nice patch yesterday, good numbers into a hedge line. I went in and there is one prominent hole that goes into a bank covered in bramble so its not going to be one for the ferrets. I need to trap it. Regarding a fenn in the entrance of a hole is there any particular method to try ensure the front legs of the rabbit trigger is, to avoid it hitting with its back legs.
  9. You can do but they're over the quid mark then at least. Personally I prefer old school rustic looking ones.
  10. I'm a lover of the tbg personaly, killed some stuff with it, and some have been long shots aswell. I prefer shooting 12mm steel with it on 25mm single bands 8 inch long.
  11. Drop me a message when you do ill put you in touch with the guy.
  12. Oh yeah, and the pins are just normal wood nails epoxied in and cut off and filed flat. Jobs a good un.
  13. The aluminium cores I can get £15 Posted, does most frame, then you can just scale and do as you please. Will get some more pics up as I progress. As I say scales arnt perfect by a long way but I'm doing it with only hand tools and not alot of patience lol.
  14. She's an old girl now yes. I have tetracycline caps 250mg, what does is a general dose to give? She's about 7kg I'd say. Just reading up online can't find feck all anywhere on doses. I'm assuming 250 is too much? Sorry to sound clueless, I havnt had to use the meds before so just like to be sure not to cause any problems S she's an old girl. I'll put some teabags in the fridge when I get home for her.
  15. No problem buddy thought I'd let you know just incase you fancied some while it was there. I'm going to use it just to launch big pebbles and heavy leads. 12mm steel is what I like with 25mm thera straight through. Does hit hard. I have the black Chinese tubes, you use the latex ones I've noticed any difference?
  16. Hi guys. Trying to help my old dear out as she struggles since my old man passed away. Her dog has conjunctivitis, I'm going to give her some antibiotics but said she will need some sort of eye drops to sooth her eyes, I'm guessing the tetracycline will help clear it up? Is there any over the counter things I can get for her? Worst case il ltake her to the vet but if its fixable at home I'll sort her out. Thanks in advance gents.
  17. Started by drilling the band holes, and two holes for the pins of the scales. Linatex band and some oak I cut off a big block with a handsaw, bloody hell of a job. Drilled Round dthe scales after I bonded them on. Just sanding away now over a few evenings slowly.
  18. How are you making that booze with them on the top? Picked my first lot last night.
  19. I wish the local nobbers around here would educate themselves. Summer time i see a good few this year, but you know the local nobbers with airguns are still going around shooting them out the car window or running thier best thing since sliced bread dog on a squatting rabbit the size of your fist, dogging the same holes. First frost comes, dogs are for sale, and its back to the pubs and clubs. And people wonder why theres bugger all around my way. I find a punch to the throat works but been in enough bother this year as it is unfortunatly.
  20. Heads up on ebay if your quick genuine linatex square. Grey man tried to message you but inbox must be full. I ordered a meter to start and ended up getting another 2 it's the real deal old school stuff. There's also a 9m roll on there type in linatex square. I been after it for 3 years so get it while it's inm
  21. Get him out on it. When I was a kid a out 14 years ago ThTs all we had to do fishing ferreting and shooting pellet guns. I tried hard with my nephew to get him into it but he is hyperactive and short attention span so never really took to it like he did with the Ipad unfortunately
  22. Top notch. Used to see mink down my local river as a kid fishing about 14 years ago. My guess would be that they're still down there surely? Might have a look Bout and sey a few wires myself. I remember me and my mate fishing used to see them on the opposite bank. We used to call it an otter but older and wiser now they were mink. Do love a snare mind can't be beaten if you ask me. You can take anything on them.
  23. Brill. Wish there was rabbits in those numbers down my way. How many times a year can you snare like that before theyre massively reduced
