  6. Are you near Aldershot or Guilford? When im back in work from sick leave I can help you if so.
  7. I do shoot em mate, being on the army its an easier one for me to have on hand. Lots of squirrels on camp so I often have a sneaky shot when nobody's looking, and I pass the evenings away making a few now and then, doing a bit each night. Im not a great shot as I should shot more, but I've had a few pheasants. No bunnies yet or woodys but hey, I fished for over 15 years to catch my first 30lb carp then had three thirty plus last year. Never give up.
  8. Cheers grey I was thinking of doing this amd giving pebbles a go. See a few lads using them to good effect, even taking game with them so something different to try. I know they're slower but I think its more the impact than the speed of the projectile that does the damage.
  9. Life will carry on indeed. Greyman has always been helpful on here and I know he has a wealth of experience too. Everything's marmite at the end of the day, which is good or the world would be a boring place. I have both the ply catties and the one grey recommended me and both are good. One is much lighter, but both are good. Keep catapulting blokes.
  10. Where can you get a Stanley blank? Would love one. I've ordered myself a milbro, wasn't sure if people had taken game with these but I guess they must have as its the original catty.
  11. In my experience, I bought a pro shot after being recommended one on here. Decent catty no doubt. Then my missus bought one off hegarty and she's always moaning because I have basically took it off her. Much lighter and I wish id bought one instead first time round for the money. It's a TTF with aiming dump and ot helped me alot with shooting. That's just my experience.
  12. I can vouch for nick here, my missus had two or three fork hits aswell as fork hits with 12mm leads and on nicks catties it only left a little dump. Hasn't effected it I've still been knocking pjeasants with it. @nick its dwcatapults mate. Not taking sides or anything just saying.
  13. Thanks mate. Im thinking of giving stones a try myself, give me a break from casting bloody lead all the time.
  14. Thanks mate. Im ordering a few different rubber's this week, square, tubes.
  15. Wicked found it. Thanks for the help bud. Would you say the 8mm is alright for hunting?
  16. Thanks for that carl, and its throws the lead and rocks ok does it? I'll have a look now I couldn't see it on there site last time. Any idea how much a 20m roll is?
  17. Where can i get that green rubber on your first one.
  18. I've uses the green goliath 5 or 6mm stuff and its tidy. I got some 8mm striker ,not fitted it but it stretches and snaps back well. Also got that terminator 10mm solid tube, now that a hard draw and flings anything.only issue is im trying to get it in bulk but can't find it anywhere.
  19. Im after a load of square elastic and cannot find it anywhere online. Theres a few about on amazon and ebay but they only sell by the meter, i want to buy alot of it. I know you could used to get bull elastic but cant find that anywhere either. Sam and John Stanley on the warrener DVDs have the stuff by the bagfull. If anyone can point me in the right direction would appreciate it as i love square. Bells of hyth have it but not sure they are still open and again, in short amounts.
  20. I can do you one for a cheap price if you want. Let me know. As already said alot of good makers on here.
  21. There's alot to choose from. And if it's something I can make at home that works if rather do that to be honest.
  22. Im wondering if mine will last then as I've just salted the end.
  23. The stuff on the American sites seems to be a mix of nit and fruit oils so I was thinking maybe walnut and peanut oil from Tesco mixed together and dotted about near the trap may work. I guess ill give it a go as this is all I can come up with for now.
  24. How'd you get the bone out? I just cut off the tail and out salt on the end to dry it out, is this wrong? Hasn't rotted and been there a good three month.
