  1. NIce read riggers....Your in good hands there.. Well done Dave!!
  2. Took the word right out of my mouth MR L The mildot ret. I was shooting 300yd targets with 1.5 inch bullseye and the ret was well within the size of the bull.
  3. I had a mil dot nxs last year on my 223...I found it to be a little cluttered and never really used the mildots for hold over...Now I have a nxs with a np-2dd reticle http://www.nightforceoptics.com/RETICLES_O.../NP-2DD-15x.pdf And will never look back.. In my opinion the 204 is a super flat shooter and there will be no need for a mildot reticle for hold over unless yoyr shooting out to 4-500yds...
  4. I only know of the nxs and the benchrest http://www.nightforceoptics.com/ Never heard of an nf model..But a middle aged English lad who was shooting a 6.5x55 at the range in Offaly Eire asked me the same question last weekend...
  5. take a look at the 7mm08..its a good flat shooter..Pushing a 120gn bt at 3100fps. here is a good read on it. Visit My Website
  6. Take a look at the 7mm08 it can push a 120gn vmax at 3100 fps...very flat shooter out to 300. here is a good read about the 7mm08 on deer..http://www.huntthenorth.com/Theperfectrifle.html
  7. Should've just gotten a Kimber Montana.... 5lb 2 oz without anything on it...sweet rifle....Just have to wait 'till I need one WHY!!!!! When Im more than happy with this one
  8. No probs. I know what you mean but im one of these guys that has to have all the bits and bobs. the smithy that built the rifle recommended me get one as the chamber is a small bit shy of saami specs... Had the gun down the range today for the first time..put 30 rounds of factory fodder through it..you know the fire one clean one process...It shot like a pig to start but started to get tighter.. Not used to the kick off a light gun.in 7mm08.had a 6.5x55 cz 550 with a mod before this and in comparison the cz was a baby..this thing has a good bit of punch in it..shoulder is throbbing.. Can
  9. it was a bit vague wasnt it bit i found what i require. http://www.hornady.com/story.php?s=485 http://www.inlandshooters.net/gallery2/v/r...nady_headspace/ They should get the job done do you think?
  10. Hi there. what tool do I need to measure the length of my chamber thanks
  11. there not as reliable as a bolt action(rem 700) but you can get loads of aftermarket parts for them like a rem 700 is what I meant
  12. great rifle..there like a rem700...loads of aftermarket gear for em
  13. I like these. Not sure what there going for. but If I was wanting to shoot long range seriously this would be my choice. http://www.czub.cz/index.php?p=32&idp=...=47&lang=en
  14. Thanks SS...the 3-9x will make it tough on the 300 range but the 1&200 should be fine. Its going to be a loud fecker..The muzzle is too thin to thread for a mod..but adding a mod would defeat the purpose of going for all the ultralight options.Im getting too old to be dragging a heavy rifle around the mountains
  15. Heres my new stalking gun I picked up today. 7mm08 700 action Lother walther 24 inch feather weight barrel Mcmillan ultra light hunters edge stock pillar/glass bedded.. loupy 3-9x40 scope All up it weighs a tad over 7 pound gets a test drive at the range on sunday
  16. Lads I just got myself a custom 7mm08 weighing just over 6pound and I want to keep it that way...Im on the hunt now for a scope for it with a power range of around 3-9 and objective lens of no more than 40mm less is better for me. I currently have my eye on this https://www.theopticzone.com/default.aspx?a...ail&id=1134 it only weighs in at 8.8 ounces. The rifle is for woodland(mountain) stalking with shots taken from -200yds tops. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Dwighet
