    my hunting partner had a bitch a few years ago witch was ill as a pup and because of that stayed realy small this bitch went to ground was very hard and killled most of the foxes she got to great bitch at the end of a dig also for to draw one father was brought over from ireland he was to big for earth work but handy at the end very game dog no reverse but very aggressive around other dogs bred bitch to a lakie but pups did not amount to much bitch got killed while working some cover and got hit by train

    all earth dogs should be game enough with out introducing bull to them but what some people call game others would call stupid theres a very fine line between gameness and stupitity

    some good answers there very informative just to add i find with small feilds like a lot in ireland you need some thing with fast early pace i have tried most of the crosses mentioned the 3/4 is a good dog and the 1/2 cross back to 1/2 cross sometimes throws some fast ones what i use now is a whippetx bull put back to a greyhound the whippet blood adds some good early pace and in small feilds you dont have to worry so much about stamina as you want a dog that knocks them over in a short distance and as for around a hole they can handle that as well

    urban foxs are usualy smaller because they rarely make it to 18 months old i do a lot in london and they come in all shapes and sizes have had one last season it was 27pounds so a big fox right in the city they do tend to be more mangy and carry a lot of deseises as for numbers they are very plentyful and lamping you can see upto 40 in a night and a good day bushing and checking holes you could see upto 20 foxs you wont catch them all but days with 6-7 in the bag can be done

    better going from hollyhead-dublin a lot shorter crossing as for price depends on time of day one goes early hours usualy the cheapest and hollyhead not that far from liverpool

    leave them vicky park foxs alone there mine as someone else has aready said about ivy we used to do and old derilet walled garden it only had one way in through a broken door all you had to do was close the door behind you and if any foxs were there they were easily caught but we kept missing one and we could not suss were it was going one day my mate spotted the ivy moving about 12 foot of the ground on top of the wall and then fox jumped of the other side of wall next time lurcher kept on the outside no more escapees
