  1. From what i have read it is the same as drontal. read here http://www.sciencelab.com/xMSDS-Pyrantel_Pamoate_USP-9924756
  2. So sorry jayhunter And your advice or reccomendation would be??? (other than buy a new scope lol) It is all so good pointing out that it is a fixed focus scope, but without constructive input it is not helping the lad out.
  3. On the rear of the scope tube body it should have a ring which you turn to magnify the zoom. It will be numbered and it will start at 4. What does it go to? I have a simmons whitetail classic 3.5 - 10 x 50. Its a nice scope and has served me well ( and still is ), and has all the qualitys i require for my rifle.
  4. To be honest i have never heard of pyrantel pamoate. But if you can get a copy of the product labels or more so the contents and ammounts of the active ingredients this will tell you. This is a paramount rule, Always read the label. You will find that many products have the same stuff in them, Just branded differently. ATB
  5. How do you know the pigeon didnt like it?? How much zoom do you already have? 4 x ??? x 32
  6. Nice one mate and some good pics there
  7. You can get done for flashing ditch!!! I dont know how it is over there but here its a criminal offence!!! LOL
  8. Several things give the shooting and hunting fraternity a ‘bad press’, they’re known as anti’s, bunny huggers, tree huggers, vegetarians and vegan’s, fox huggers, ban the hunt supporters, or collectively known as…….wet bas*ards. It doesn’t matter if you have a catapult, a BSA Meteor airgun or a military look rifle, those knob’s will be looking to ban whatever you do, or have. Rant over.......for now. Well said But i love the look of the styer aug. I dont agree with a ban either
  9. I have to agree with you 100% What a load of shite. But you have got some balls. Good on yer LoL
  10. Hi & welcome pam. Nice dogs you have there ( i love labs ).
  11. You could get a plastic decoy owl/hawk of somekind. These can be obtained from some fishing tackle shops or pest control supliers. May set you back around £20 but should work. Once you have got one keep moving it around, once a day/two days. Make sure it is visible i.e on top of a shed roof or set on a fence. Dont put it where its going to be overgrown. Or you may as well just give me £20. Another method is to errect a simple caine frame around your plot and cover it with plastic netting. Hope this helps
  12. You want to go to specksavers mate LOL
  13. I would go for a wander round at first light and get yer bearings. Find out where the rabbits are coming and going from. This should hopefully give you an idea as to a good shooting position and general direction of approach. You could try again another morning this time with your rifle and drop a few. Once they start getting a little coy to your presence start lamping. Firstly use filters and try limit the number of visits you go. The more you go with the lamp, filters or not the shyer the bunnies get. In regards to big bags this all depends on your skill/ability to shoot
  14. It all depends on how close you can stalk your target. But anything over 40 yards is a bit of a gamble.
  15. Some good pictures there. Start them as they mean to go, Nice 1. None of mine are ready for their first bit of meat as of yet but it wont be long now.
  16. Tortoises can swim extremely well, She is a south american red foot and she is 5 yrs old No the hob has his head out, Think the other has just dunked him a little!!
  17. Maybe should have posted these last week when the weather was a bit hot. A nice soothing dip and a good bit of exercise for a couple of our hobs And our tortoise had a dip too
  18. Thats a very generous offer but sadly i am going to have to decline The wife only gives me £10 pocket money a week,(if im lucky). Can i pay you weekly? If not i will have to let this one go. But on a serious note, This rifle is a cracking piece of kit and well worth the money
  19. Will you take a tenner for it?? I will set off now and pick it up
  20. Nowt but a barrow boy then!!! What happens in the summer months? Do you not turn out the livestock? What about running fence repairs, drystone walling general maintainence around the farm, drainage, livestock health, etc etc and dont lets get started about crop yields and haylage. How about tractor and machinery repairs and maintenence? The list goes on. How could this be mundane and be classed as boring? Yes if yer heart isnt in it. but your only a young boy (no offence meant) and you have a lot to learn. Its not for everyone i know but do we all want to be office worke

    PEST CONTROL

Working at heights would be a place to start, Safe use of ladders, Bird proofing and installation techniques. General licences from english nature You will need to do training courses to be able to purchase and safely use insecticides/rodenticides. This training will be vital in obtaining the relevant insurances. Contact somebody like Killgerm or Barretine, Do some training and im sure that they will be able to answer most of your questions. ATB
  22. What does the farmer farm?? I think that the answer to the duties you will be undertaking will be within the above question. I can assure you that you will work your nuts off, All year round and it will either make you or break you. Early starts and late finnishing (especially during the summer months). The thing is farming isnt just a job, its a way of life. You can be assured that you will never be bored as you will always be doing something different. Would you want to be stuck inside an clean, dry and air conditioned office for only 8 hrs a day? Or do you want to wor
  23. I dont think that they are an approved trap for killing rats Get yourself some fenns or victor pro's
