  1. Good looking job there. However your blockboard may be roofing grade but it will definately need treating, first bit of moisture and ferret toileting and it will soak it all up like a sponge. Best place to get your run pipe is from roadside contractors /Highways contractors. You should be able to find some that are replacing 4-6" land drain. This shouldnt be a problem for you because they are always digging up the bloody roads. atb
  2. Good shooting matey and i hope you have more to come. atb
  3. That was quick lol It is some good ground and i cant wait till the bloody nettles drop. atb moxy
  4. One of my clients has been urging me to get on and do a little rabbit clearance. So kitted up and headed on to make a start at thinning the numbers. The warrens run down a wall side and some of the cover was still high, long grass and nettles make spotting the bolt holes a tad difficult, but no hawthorn hedges or bramle to contend with which was a bonus. I chose a couple of burys to do, both around 8 holers. There are plenty more to go at but i will be leaving those untill the nettles do drop. The land lies on the edge of the moorside and has good views over the wharfedale valley. Go
  5. You are a cock! You put that ferret down that hole, therefore you are the cause of your ferrets injurys. Smokers and terriers are the way to go for rats or a good course of rodenticide. I cant see the benefit of entering a good working ferret knowingly into a rat hole you tit.
  6. you nob LOL dont hold back Say what you see, is this like catchphrase?
  7. Heres our tilly, She is a 5yr old south american red foot tortoise and she has a cracking personality.
  8. There you go fella! Clean it up, take some pics and stick it up in the for sale section. Only to be messed about by every doughnut on here!! I would say its worth the money, good luck.
  9. Sorry again fm2k8 just yanking yer chain, I would love to delete this thread for you but i am not a mod so i cant. Dont take it to heart buddy, hw's are a cracking piece of kit and they do hold their value, if looked after and in good condition. As mc says, remove the tape and give it a spit and a polish and its true colours will come through. The question is, what do you think its worth, or what are you wanting for it? ATB,
  10. I said it was worth a 1er, i didnt say one of what, i am not offering peanuts maybe this will take yer fancy???
  11. you spoil all the fun And i have a bone in my leg and my shit stinks
  12. No sorry pal, joking aside. you want to be looking for a 1er at least
  13. ok twelve quid, but i want the cardboard inner from the roll of the cammo tape you used.
  14. My mate found an old gat gun type pistol at his dads, It seemed to have gained power in its years sat in a box in the loft and was somewhat over the 6ft/lb that it should be. Unless pistols were once made over 6ft/lb before the law changed I have a gat aswell, that has to be antique I am very sure that it hasnt increased in power, you would be lucky if it has enough power to blow away a flys fart.
  15. Its one of those little jobs im going to get around to. However it does need a new o-ring on the breach as the rubber has not stood the test of time. It will never get sold in my lifetime. Just happily sit in its box and get plinked now and again.
  16. Celticwar had an earlier post about some antique accupels which got me thinking!! An old friend got a webley hurricaine in the early eighties. He used it a few times for plinking in his garden. Placed it back in the box and moved house where it ended up in the loft of the new house. For nearly 20 yrs. After a clearout he came across it and i ended up with it. Its in mint condition and even came with over three quaters of the original pellets. What a gift. I have the warranty and instruction manual and a history of webley pistols poster on the reverse, Original pack of 25 webley targe
  17. No problem. Cammo does help, but only in the correct application. As i say if you are sitting in wait or have a good solid background to blend in to. Or you can move like rambo or a ninja lol.
  18. I think cammo isnt going to help you much!! You need to practice and improve your stalking technique. So you are not crashing and bounding through the undergrowth. Cammo will aid if you are sat in wait or slowly moving up a dry stone wall. Your shape and silohuete is the give away. No matter how much you spend on the best realtree cammo with the best pattern, at 30 yds its only visable as a greeny brown shade. Your foreign shape to the surroundings will still remain. Reccy your permission firsthand, see where the rabbits are coming and going from then plan a good route to get the
  19. I dont personally keep bees, I just help out with other peoples!! So ive had a fair bit of hands on experience with them. A question is do you like heather honey?? Im not too keen myself, a bit too grainy. You will have to consider the exposure to the elements and if the summer is too grim and your bees dont get out enough, you will be feeding them and not getting a harvest. Most in my local association are having a bad season this year. I know you can get queens via post but im sure the postal service would raise a few eyebrows with a reasonable sized colony buzzing away insid
  20. The spring sits at the end of the hinge bar and is stapled to the cage frame and then to the door. The door springs upwards (inside to out). Your split perch is the trigger mechanism. You will find very detailed plans inc photos on here within the snaring/trapping and pest control section. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/html/section...arsen-trap.html
