  1. Other than baiting as already posted, you are then moving towards decoys. Either the species type you are targeting or perhaps a bird of prey decoy placed within a baited area. Full decoys are relatively cheap £2-3 each or just shells, even cheaper at say around a pound a pop. If you are unable to purchase half a dozen of the cheap shells then your only other option is to make your own. This i belive is hardly worth the effort. Making a mould then casting from it with papier mash and a good amount of pva glue, painting it then applying a good varnish. For it to only last a limited amo
  2. How sensetive do you have the trigger set? Try wrapping your cage in a smaller gauge mesh or placing a bed of loose sand around the cage, you should hopefully be left with some identifyable signs/tracks from your bait thief. What gauge mesh is your cage made from?

Your stick should be allowed to dry naturally for around the 12 month mark, i dont think there is a general rule as all woods are different, Holly is a very dense and heavy wood, so if dried out too fast has a tendancy to spilt on the cut ends. Candle wax should sort this out if you notice it happening, it wont stop it splitting but it will help to slow it down (drying out too fast) and stop the split from creeping further down the stick.( this applies to all woods ) Dont force dry. With the holly wood grain being tight grained, you will struggle to remove any serious dog legs as the
  5. Woodga is a busy fella and does receive many pm's. unlike many others he is not on here 24/7. He will get back to you.
  6. 50 Nicker per grey squirrel??? Am i reading this correctly?? You must be loaded then. Where is round here??
  7. Sounds good. Only if its 15p a lb and the venison is marignated in the finest red wine and shallots. And provided all the ingridients were all organic. No GM crap. Are you doing delivery??
  8. Just found a stamp on the bottom of my left foot which says " made in taiwan " Beats me?
  9. Not nocking yer van pal, i have one lol Mine was the same, would happilly turn over for 10 mins before the battery getting tired. I popped new heater plugs in, give it a good service, checked this and that and tinkered away for hours, it still left me scratching my head and my arse. Gave the battery a good charge and hey presto!! Didnt last very long as the battery wasnt holding full charge. One new battery and job was sorted. The thing is, if it runs then it can only be a couple of things at fault, eliminate them one by one and your left with your fault. Have you tried wa
  10. Its your battery!!!!!! I will only be wrong if you have just put a new one on, ( and i will look a twit lol ) Get a proper battery tester, or go to a garage and get them to test it for you. Not a multi meter, this will only tell you the current charge the altenator is putting out or the current output of the battery ie 12v!!! Its all relevant if you think about it, not to mention an escort van is the biggest sack of shi* i have ever had the pleasure to own. Good luck
  11. Why not just buy a cattle/horse rubber matt and cut it into the size you require? It should provide you with maybe 3 matts. Keep one for a spare and sell one to your mates. I wouldnt have thought that there will be much of a price difference between the horse matts and one for dogs.
  12. Im sure that a good deal of people do like wossy But to the tune of six million a year?? Come on, lets have a bit of right here. Im sure that a bulk of those wossy fans would soon change their minds if they all did know what he was earning. Im not happy about my licence fee going towards paying the wages of a pair of pillocks, especially to the sum of 6 million. Should wossy resign?? No, Sack him and give us all a rebate.

  14. I think the best thing you can do is try it youself, that way you will know for sure. You must be contemplating the idea, as you have asked the question. You may get a wide array of answers by those who swear it works and again by those who say it doesent. Will this be enough to satisfy your curiosity. You will never know unless you try it first hand. Good luck
  15. I have got four complete galvenised runs up for offer ( to help you out ) 12' x 6'. Used but in ok condition. There is also a few odd panels. If you are willing for a trip up to yorkshire i can do you a deal. atb This is not a for sale ad, if they are up for sale i will put up in the appropriate section, thanks
  16. Love your dogs buddy Some cracking pictures there.
  17. Feed them raw, bones and all. I tend to remove the skins (leaving the head on) and gut. Freeze them to make sure any worm cysts that may have been missed during gutting are dealt with, ( this isnt a general rule i use but with large numbers of rabbits they obviously keep longer frozen and can be simply defrosted when needed). Remember to always worm your dog regularly, especially if feeding freshly cought rabbit.

    The crap factor

You grumpy old tw*t LOL ( you asked for that ) I agree that some are talentless and should have been told a long time ago, but most have to start somewhere and a few do get better. There are one or two ( without naming names and telling you who im pineing for ) which are ok and i do belive will improve. However will i go and buy their album or x mass single is very debateable. After all its all down to the joe public who decide who will be overplayed.

  21. Hello pal, You should be able to get the mesh from a wireworkers, if you cant find one by you then pm me and i maybe able to help you as i have one local that stocks what you need.
  22. Make sure you have a good selection of filters, and alternate the colours each time you you go to the same spot. If you also try and not hammer the same permission over and over, give it a week or so break between visits, try and go elsewhere and rotate your permissions. If you constantly hammer your permission with a bright white light the rabbits will become lampshy and you will then be asking this question in the rimfire/shotgun section. atb
