  1. Your dog should be fine matey, Just remove any bait that is left and also the dog crap, to ensure the bitch/dogs dont eat anymore. The poison/bait is an anti coagulant, which reduces vitamin k levels within the body, this then causes internal bleeding and organ faliure, however in most cases a good level needs to be built up within the body to have a desired effect, one dose should'nt cause much bother. Get food and water down the dog and keep your eye on the urine/crap, to make sure no blood is present. And jack, next time call in a pro, you daft tight sod!!!
  2. Just found this Q & A on a shooting site, pretty much whats already been said, I read that it is unlawful to deliberately catch, kill or take wild polecats. I am confused as I think the 1981 Wildlife & Countryside Act provides limited protection for polecats in Schedule 6? Please can you clarify this? A: The polecat is listed in schedule 6 of the 1981 Wildlife & Countryside Act, and Schedule 3 of the 1994 Conservation Regulations. Under these laws, certain methods of taking wild polecats are prohibited. These Acts prohibit the deliberate or intentional settin
  3. Absolutely loads mate, ive got that much i struggle to get round it all.
  4. As already said wash it on a low temperature and re-proof. Gore-Tex fabric needs to be clean for it to be able to do what it says on the tin (breath). A wash every now and again will do no harm and you should only need to re waterproof as and when it starts to leak, otherwise it gets to be a dear do at a tenner a proof.

    Czech humor

Came across this sign upon a mates farm. It arrived on some timber he salvaged so now takes pride of place in a gate hole to the farm. Makes me chuckle everytime i see it, with visions of lads with their lurchers in hand swiftly doing one across a field with an angry farmer hot their heels Maybe a little less tolerant out in the czech rep PRIVATE PROPERTY NO ENTRY (or i will run you through with this pitch fork if i catch you!!!!!)
  6. Heres my two, my eldest reluctantly let this one go but it did cause some agro. The larger rabbits we ferreted she was more than happy for them to go for the pot. Fluffy bunny appeal i guess My youngest is ruthless!! and yes she did get a doubler (you try tell her she didnt) Not very festive i know but belive me it was very cold if thats any conselation!!
  7. If thats your missus in your avatar then i would certainly be scratching my head and coming up with a plan Flowers, chockys and plenty of sweet nothings and promises in her ear. Getting her to come round and beyond your way of thinking would be a winner. Was never any good at maths but; Wifey + Sam =
  8. Pm sent matey, if your not happy with my design then try john hubery, he makes quality boxes.
  9. Be greatfull your not having the problems the older freelander owners encountered. That being the engines going tits up completely, Come to sell the buggers and the questions you get asked are not how maany miles its done, but how many engines!! Landrover should have just stuck with landrovers! Most of their further endevours have been disasterous from the freelander issues to all those that the disco's have, dont even get me started there!! Lousy customer service is a no no and especially after shelling out 25 big ones id have the motor back creating a scene is the salesroom till all is
  10. Thanks for the link, it may prove to be handy Where is the site advertised? Just done a search on google and cant find it?? Cheers
  11. John, does that price include the manufacturers tunnel? Just seems a little bizzare and with constraint, that they say there tunnels must be used, to be fair they aint much kop!! I would be interested in a trap or two though. But at working mans prices!!
  12. Rats eating each other is quiet common. Had a few messy traps, feckin things
  13. Some nice pics there jack, Hope your little fella doesent end up with your looks!!! All the best buddy
  14. Some nice pictures there Kay, your getting a dab hand with the camera. atb moxy
  15. Lamping with a shotgun!! Are you having a laugh? You maybe ok for the odd one or two, or a bonus with the a couple of blind mixy rabbits that dont have a clue whats going on let alone run. By the time you have cracked off a few cartridges you may as well get back in the motor and go home. Tried it but without much success. IMHO Get out with snares, traps, airguns, rimmy or a dog and leave the old two shooter in the cabinet
  16. Its not even a scratch on the surface mate, but if i took photos of everything i did i would spend more time on here than working, Oh and the possibility of being locked up, LOL
  17. They are only meant to be a disposable trap, but i will be fecked if im paying near a fiver a trap to throw it away after its first catch, Call me tight i dont care, but i separate the ply on bog roll to get my moneys worth.
  18. I think they are the mutts nutts mate but you dont get much usage from them as the plastic catches tend to snap. But for ease of setting and especially in awkward places they are well worth the money. Cant beat pro victors though
  19. Just a couple of pictures of what i have been getting up to. This was a squirrel job i was tasked with. little feckers were in the roofspace with no access from inside the house and very little to work with on the access outside. But they had to come out to eat!! Managed a couple of rabbits for the ferrets but me thinks a fox beat me to the traps and stripped out the carcasses, leaving me with nothing much but the pelts and heads. This was a rat job in a house, with 2 double whammys. Although the traps had made a mess of the young rats, Others had been eating the remains
  20. Thanks john, Just looking at your new boxes and they are spot on, i have had to ammend my prices just a little. A lot of work goes into these boxes as you know so the price has to reflect. Its not something i do full time but if i find myself at a loose end i set too and have a fettle in the workshop, never going to make a living out of them like yourself but a touch now and again doesent go amiss
  21. I have here a few ferret boxes for sale. May aswell exploit the free enterprise thingy mijiggy. Boxes are made using 9mm ply and are well glued. The price remains the same for treated or untreated, although straps are not shown on the boxes they will obviously be supplied. As to remain competative and not undercut anybody prices are; Single £25 inc postage Double £30 inc postage I am located in keighley, west yorkshire. All enquiries by pm only, Thanks.

    Creosote

Wtf?? Creosote is illegal/banned,withdrawn and will give you cancer with three heads. Come on!!!! Things maybe different in ireland but creosote is widely available in the uk and absolutely shit loads gets used. I bought some last month and will probably buy some more next month, if it stops pissing it down long enough to use the stuff. The reason joe public cant just buy it is that it is a professional only product. With creosote containing some unsavoury ingredients which do tend to have adverse effects upon the enviroment and also will happilly burn out your eyes, a descisio
  23. You need a bit more paitance and a steady hand, unless the mole is confined and happy to surface runs there has to be deeper tunnels somewhere. Routinely collapse the surface runs and in course the new runs may indicate as to where the the deeper run is, granted it may not but its worth a try. As for your surface runs, if a regular tunnel keeps appearing, carefully dig in two spades to the width of a dufus. Remove the soil between these to sit your trap. Lightly wet the soil that the spades are retaining to make it more plyable and making it a little less prone to collapse. Clean the run as
