A well placed fenn will normally catch the upper part of the rabbit, head & chest. There isnt much meat i worry about there, this is for the ferrets and the Meaty end. ie the back half is for me, everybodys happy

i have set a couple (well rusted )tonight to see if i can get some ferret food, i had to go through a fair few holes to get ones big enough to set them. the burrow entrances round here are often quite small. does anyone else come across this? That is the art of trapping, adapt what you have to work with in your favour. If your trap does not fit, then make it fit. Provided you can excavate enough of the tunnel to fit your trap without causing it to collapse, then your onto a winner. Never needed to extend the chains although in some instances a longer chain would have been handy,

Check your local yellow pages or google 'Wireworkers' These firms manufacture mesh and you will get a better deal than you would from your local builders or agricultural merchants. They will normaly cut what you need to size, so you only pay for what you need and dont have to buy a roll/sheet

You will soon think up a plan when you have some materials in front of you, or make it up as you go along. Depending on what tools you have available to you and how handy you are with them will obviously determine the level of finnish you are going to achieve. Ideally 9mm far eastern ply, this will cost you about £30 plus a sheet. It will make your box lightweight, the last thing you want to be humping about when you have a good bag of rabbits is something equivelent to your grandmas best mahogany cabinet. Whatever you make it out of just make sure its safe and comfortable for your ferrets

Help needed with f**king r10
moxy replied to ulverston moocher's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Daft as it sounds but have you enough pressure in your diving bottle?? If your air is low in the tank it doesent have enough poke to seal the valve shut, about 100 bar is the minimum i think, may be less. Although you get a good release of air when you purge, it hasnt got the welly behind it it needs, so your buddy bottle slowly leaks. -
Depending on the gauge of the steel, 10g +, if your going to make a replacement i would use stainless, the reason your pin bent in the first place was the mild steel its made from cant take the pressure of the spring. I find flat pack dufus are buggers for this. Cant fault the springs just shite and inferior rods. Im guessing you dont have an old trap to salvage from so your in to fashioning something up? Stainless isnt much stronger than the steel the original pins made from but it will last. The broken pin would have been well galvenised, so to replace with an untreated piece of steel, m

Contact webley, they should be able to sort you out a replacement bulb. If not try an electrical suppliers (not B & Q), give them the old bulb with the serial no; THE BULB YOU WANT IS AN 8 DEGREE BULB, sounds daft i know but it dosent give you the beam spread your having with your b & q halogen special!! You could expect to pay around a tenner, but its got to be cheaper than buying a whole new outfit.

Im looking to set up a website to hopefully enhance and promote my business a little more. To be perfectly honest i havent the foggiest on where to start, but rather than get conned into having one done by these cold calling firms, that pester me almost daily, for them to do it for free!!!(for free, i dont think so) I will have a go myself or die through frustration trying. Any pointers in the right direction would be greatfully received, regarding building a site and name/domain addresses etc, etc. Trusted sites only please. Im not into giving out my credit card details over the net, cl

Your dog should be fine matey, Just remove any bait that is left and also the dog crap, to ensure the bitch/dogs dont eat anymore. The poison/bait is an anti coagulant, which reduces vitamin k levels within the body, this then causes internal bleeding and organ faliure, however in most cases a good level needs to be built up within the body to have a desired effect, one dose should'nt cause much bother. Get food and water down the dog and keep your eye on the urine/crap, to make sure no blood is present. And jack, next time call in a pro, you daft tight sod!!!

Just found this Q & A on a shooting site, pretty much whats already been said, I read that it is unlawful to deliberately catch, kill or take wild polecats. I am confused as I think the 1981 Wildlife & Countryside Act provides limited protection for polecats in Schedule 6? Please can you clarify this? A: The polecat is listed in schedule 6 of the 1981 Wildlife & Countryside Act, and Schedule 3 of the 1994 Conservation Regulations. Under these laws, certain methods of taking wild polecats are prohibited. These Acts prohibit the deliberate or intentional settin

Absolutely loads mate, ive got that much i struggle to get round it all.

As already said wash it on a low temperature and re-proof. Gore-Tex fabric needs to be clean for it to be able to do what it says on the tin (breath). A wash every now and again will do no harm and you should only need to re waterproof as and when it starts to leak, otherwise it gets to be a dear do at a tenner a proof.

Came across this sign upon a mates farm. It arrived on some timber he salvaged so now takes pride of place in a gate hole to the farm. Makes me chuckle everytime i see it, with visions of lads with their lurchers in hand swiftly doing one across a field with an angry farmer hot their heels Maybe a little less tolerant out in the czech rep PRIVATE PROPERTY NO ENTRY (or i will run you through with this pitch fork if i catch you!!!!!)
