  2. I use shavings to put down in the bottom of the bed and run followed by a mixture of good clean straw and meadow hay. Topped off with the odd rabbit carcass for the jill to use as down. Just stick it in and the jill will take and use what she needs. Clean shredded paper is also a good alternative. Avoid sawdust and prepacked hay from places such as jolleys etc, far too dusty and can cause eye and respiratory irritation in both ferrets young and old. always worked for me

  11. Wheather your stock is laquered or oiled will have a result on the finnish you aquire. If its laquered then you can sand it back, prime it with a couple of coats, paint it then finnish it with a good laquer or varnish. Giving you a paint job that will last and take some abuse. If its oiled the likeleyhood is that your paint will blemish as you may not get a good bond to the greasy woodwork. Over time the paint will lift and flake and as moisture gets in it will only get worse. Removing the laquer from the chequering will take the use of a good paint stripper, if you sand it you will r

  19. Maplin!! You will get a power control dimmer for a couple of quid, attatch this to the lead as it comes from the battery and you can adjust the brightnes. Simples!!
