  4. You havent passed yet my friend!! A dufus spring at full whack right on the knuckle end on a freezing cold winter morning, that brings tears to your eyes. Especially if its one of the first traps set and you have another shed load to go down. You cant beat that numb stinging sensation. Now wipe your eyes and get a grip you southern fairy
  5. No hard feelings here steve A, i understand you have to make a touch and look out for yourself. To be honest my comment wasnt really directed at yourself but more so for killgerm with their outrageous price hikes. More of a dig at you in jest if anything, lol. I look at it this way, they are handy little traps but i managed without them before and i will manage with the couple i have until they are made available cheaper elsewhere,as im sure they will!! In the mean time its no great loss. One thing is certain, i will not have my pants pulled down and my arse smacked by killgerm. However i m
  6. can i ask what situation this trap will work , where the others wont??? These traps are good for sandy soil, ie golf courses, especially on the tees where there is very little soil. Secondly they are very discreet little traps, perfect for use where the public are likely to come across your traps. Bloody shame killgerm have the corner now with these traps a little too overpriced now for what they are worth. However it wont be long before a uk manufacturer decides to cash in and produces an equivilent type trap at a sensible price. Good for you steve A but you have now shafted us

  12. Mk4 fenns will be plenty for squirrels. There isnt much need to bait your traps if set in the correct place. You will find that mice or slugs will take your bait before the squirrels get a chance. If there is a plentyful foodsource available, likleyhood is they may even not bother with any bait. Setting traps in tunnels should be more than adequate. Squirrels are very inquisetive and will check out your traps, hopefully providing you with results. However, trap placement in some cases is important, bottlenecking a route to the feeders whilst restricting others, but not restricting access fo
  13. Its funny you mention jays!! We were talking about the increase in numbers on two of the permissions we frequent. I run larsens on both farms for magpies and in past years we have taken good numbers. This year the magpies are very few and far between but have been replaced by plenty of jays (not in the cages though). I dont mind seeing the odd jay about it makes a diference as some places we go dont have any, but needless to say thier time will come. Noisey little feckers when you get a few squabling. Looking forward to a good clear moonlit night amongst the trees. Nice shooting matey and
  14. Creosote, but the real stuff. Not your b&q substitute. and before any body starts, Yes you can buy it, they have not banned it, it is not ilegal, blah blah!!! However, you may have to provide proof of training for safe handling of pesticides. Although it is likley your local agric merchants will sell you it off the shelf.

  18. Hi tyla, i am in the process at the moment of arranging manufacture of the tealers only. If the manufacture cost comes back reasonable and i can generate enough interest i will hopefully have some for sale (within a month). Most of the lads i know who snare make there own tealers and would be reluctant to make enough to sell but you may fall lucky. Its one of them jobs like making matches by hand or cocktail umberellas!!! If all goes well i will let you know
