Very smart Mine all look a little funny at the moment as they are nursing and have their summer coats, i will post a pic when im not pestering them. I did have a jill, sadly she died last year. If you put her down you were digging!! She would bolt rabbits but was too fast for the kill. Well fed before an outing and she would still kill down the hole. Bonus was she found all the stop ends. My young un wanted to enter the jill at the local game fair in the ferret racing, which we did to please her. The jill wouldnt entertain any of it. No scent, no racing , seemed embarasing at t

By the time you have paid for a new underlever, reblued the metal work, varnished the stock, added a new scope rail, paid for a new safety button ( supposing that nothing else is missing) Replaced the spring and piston seals..............etc etc. What will you have in the rifle? Value wise............? Unless you are going to bring it back to concourse condition to retain a little value it sounds like a loser to me. Like jacko boy says, hobby. Bid your mate in the nuts and it may be worth doing

Sounds like your ferret has jacked, ie doe protecting her young and your ferret couldnt get it to shift. Either that or your ferret has missed all the important stop ends, or simply had the good old run around. If the rabbits are there as you have stated it has to be one of the forementioned excuses
