Thank you deswal. We charge out our craftsmen at work at £27 per hr + VAT= £32.40 we have 28 of them and none could put an Opinel blade in an antler let alone carve a running dog. As for time likely about 24hrs work so at a craftsman's rate 24 x 32.40 =£777.60 As for the opinels yes they are cheap and in my opinion the best value for money carbon steel knives out there. Don't know the carbon make up but they preform as well as any 01 tool steel blade i have seen. You would be pushed to buy a bit of tool steel to make a blank for the cost of a finished Opinel. Forget the fancy pellets. Start with something trusted which do well in "most" airguns. Accupel domed or JSB's. Once you get it playing ball with those then you can start experimenting with the stuff which is targeted to just take money out of your pocket.

What price you wanting moxy, I have a Harris bipod already, so I could in theory,...fit a rail, a quick release for the bipod, Jimmy may have a stud fitting that will fit the rail for my sling to go behind the bipod......may be the ultimate solution. I will say £15 posted. I will be putting together few sets once the length of rail arrives and then list them.

Peanuts Phil. All year round. Although they will eat most big seeds in particular sunflower. A squirrel picks most of its food up with its front paws. So it's not much good feeding them with loose millet. Jolleys or pets at home do both in bulk (weigh your own )

Only way would be to plate it. Or a thick polyurethane. But it would still chip. Not to mention dull with scratches.
