  1. first morning, couldnt get started to early with dropping the kids at school first so started about 9.30-10.00 , first morning the rabbits bolted really well with having to only dig 2, alot of cover about so the longnets, stop nets really helping out accounting for alot of the rabbits done 2 warrens for 19 rabbits on the first morning, end of day pic same story for the next morning apart from the rabbits just didnt want to bolt with having to dig most of them out which i dont mind with them being 2/3 foot deep, ended with 12 this day from 3 warrens , nice to be back out with the ferr
  2. all depends a light frost aint too bad but if been froze solid for a few days then no, ive allways found even with a light frost there seems to be less rabbits about imo
  3. i think they can go back to the court and get till about 5pm saturday then they have to charge or bail him
  4. sounds like the dogs worked well ,cant beat letting the dogs hunt up find there game , good stuff
  5. sounds like there rabbits she running she dosent stand a chance of catching, and the one shes chasing disappears into the hedge, ditch shes looking for the next one and so on , take her out on the lamp and try and find her one right out that she will have a chance on try and make it as easy as you can for her
  6. just get him out little and often it will soon start to click , first of many to come hopefully
  7. had my young bitch out again last night after finely having a couple of days of rain to soften the ground up and there was a good wind and drizzle so headed out about midnight, started of quite well with her picking up 9 before she missed one so was well pleased with the way she was runnning carried on abit further and she picked up another 5 with the odd miss inbetween ,pleased with they way shes running cutting out the beam, making sure shes getting hedge side of her rabbits etc, all starting to come togethe now thanks for looking

  10. rest in peace craigyboy
  11. looks good that ,you would of thought that lightforce would have made ,desgined a flip up filter of some kind though
  12. why do some people think a filter is just to dim the lamp, for lamp shy rabbits, to keep a low profile, etc, etc, they are a big help to the dog for picking out a rabbits eye when sending the dog out to a tight squatter in stubble, longish grass, winter rape, imo

  14. to be fair mate i dont bother with the bike at 8-9 month, old but if you do bike it 4/5 mile at a steady pace a 2/3 times a week is ample with waking it free running inbetween even for a older dog imo
  15. a good person on the lamp can make a big difference to the nights outcome imo, ifs theres a few laid out there i will try pick off the closest to the hedge first and work out to the further ones if they hold out there , another thing i do quite alot is if the dogs run a couple and theres still rabbits laid out there back on slip and just sit tight lamp off give the dog a blow then go again , but a big help is knowing the ground where there gonna head,be, can be a big advantage , plus wind direction can play a big part to how you have to lamp a place
  16. always used a red filter, i find my dogs pick that rabbit eye up alot better with a filter in stubbles, longish grass ,etc, lamp and send them out in the red then flick to the white, wouldnt lamp without one myself
  17. will be this bitches first season and my collie/grey 3rd season
