  7. good stuff, a couple of them in the pattern will work wonders
  8. I am just curious, and emphatically not looking for an argument. Do you get the same satisfaction out of your dog, catching a hare on the lamp,as one given a fair slip ,and coursed in daylight? if i had a purpose bred coursing dog then my answer would be no, but my lamping dog would struugle in the day so gets the same sort of challnge when runnig them in the lamp if that makes sence
  9. hares are much harder daylight fact, but you still need a tidy dog to put double figures away in the lamp on big fields in the winter imo a very tidy dog

  11. that x ( d/g x c/g) was a very good x in the mid 70s, i like that x as long as they dont get to big was runnig this cross about 12 year ago, and when looking for my collie/grey pup tried to get another but couldnt find a litter knowhere, but he was a good honest dog 26 1/2 tts got a pick somewhere will try and scan and get it on
  12. run a collie/grey myself just had his first full season and done everything ive asked of him r/h/d/f, only his first season but pleased with him, but like been said you need to try and pick the one that takes to the grey a little bit more on the half xs, but deer/grey/collie/grey would be my choice to TRY to make a allrounder
