    IMO the hare went to go into the dyke then realised the dog was to tight to him and just turned off it ,wouldnt say it planned it but a great jink at the right time

    i made a couple of stop nets with spun poly which are about 10 yards there fine, but wouldnt want to go much more, for a longnet you cant go wrong with the agouti longnet twine the one i made last season well pleased with

    imo not just stamia, feet,wind, the saluki x can add a different style to the way they run, people dont give credit that a saluki x can add that bit of running sence [read there game well ]

    imo a hare will run as fast as it needs to when being coursed, so seem like there going slow but they know what there doing,as where a rabbit will just try and head straight for home as fast as it can, although to the eye the rabbit looks quick which they are,the hare knows what its doing and runs to suit , two different animals

    butchers giving me £1.50 for ferreted rabbits just gutted and cleans them and puts them up for £3.00 each ,

    ive always lamped on foot myself but i can see the advantage from lamping from a motor although not for me your gonna cover twice as much ground = much more game , but id imagine your dogs have gotta be seriously fit and conditioned to run beside and run game aswell, imo you would need a couple of dogs to keep switching round like tomo said, as you wouldnt be long fecking one dog on its own ,but i think the only difference would be much much fitter dogs if run from the motor than on foot

    anybody thats done abit will know its not the rabbit its the land that makes the difference ,like running rabbits on wet sticky wheat will sapp the dogs alot quicker when on numbers,give the dog sore nails etc, fields with stone walls in them the rabbits got to turn off it with a dog up its arse it cant fly straight in like a field with thin hedges, sheep netted fields rabbits cant hit them flat out with a dog up its arse, , long tuffdy grass fields can be a help but can be a bas#### aswell when they keep running and then squatting, but where ever your dogs gotta be very FIT to take big number
