  1. what do you know about him or what have you heard about you peaked my interest.

Wolf hunting was the major reason running dogs were first imported to the American west by ranchers and us army officers in the late 1800s-early 1900s.These were greyhounds and deer hounds mostly then borzoi or Russians Wolfhounds and Irish Wolfhounds Bulldog and mastiff crosses were also mentioned from time to time. most wolves were caught and killed with the aid of the hunter.these had to have been very tough game dogs to accomplish this these dog are also the basic components for our modern coyote dogs (stags)

  4. if its a deerhound x bullhound its not a half cross mate His half cross is the deerhoundxbulldog. He's thinkin of puttin that half cross to a greyhound. sorry miss read the post I have often thought about makeing that cross for coyote ,intrested in the results keep us posted

    I live in Florida and thinking seriously on taking up coyote hunting.. but i need the right dog for it!

  8. hello again, heres a quick picture of the hounds at work on coyote,hope its ok this islegal here!!!!The hound are whats known as stags here locally the orignal crosses were made in early 1900s deerhound,greyhound and borzoi.
