My interests are all field sports and football unfortunatly my playing days are over but i still enjoy watching,i support west bromwich albion dont go as often as i used to but do now and again. I enjoy beating, ferreting, shooting (game and vermin) i go out with the Warwickshire fox hounds on foot when i can.And of course socializing with friends.

I have recently moved house,so I have had to send my certificates off for the change of address. My old constabulary were West Midlands my new constabulary are Thames Valley. I have 2 shotguns and 1 rifle .17 hmr which I use for vermin control. The firearms officer has just informed me that I cannot use my rifle for fox. He said fox are not classed as vermin !! The conditions on my license are, The holder of this certificate may possess,purchase or acquire expanding ammunition,or the missiles of such ammunition in .17 hmr authorised by this certificate and may use such ammunition only in

Hello all Went to get some more ammo today.(hornady 17 hmr 20gr) The last time i stocked up on them 5 months ago i paid £11.50 for a box of 50 rounds. Today they cost me £15.50 !!! Has anyone else encountered this sort of price rise ?

Blimey what happened to my face.... The rifle is a CZ 452 varmint with a sak moderator,the scope is a simmons whitetail classic 6.5-20x50. it is a really good set up for the money, very accurate. Simo

Can anyone tell me the best place to get a rifle cleaning kit from for a .17HMR. Is it best to get a kit or buy all the bits separately ? Thanks in advance !

My brother and i took this years kits out for the first time a couple of weeks ago to work some warrens on one of our permissions. We were looking forward to seeing how well they would work for there very first time. Anyway we netted up the first set of holes only 4 but wanted a small one to start,they worked it well but nothing home. So we moved to the next this time about 10 holes,put them to ground and they were gone for about 10 mins until they came back above ground. put them back in and after 5 mins bolted there first rabbit,dispatched it and put the hob back in.
