    pigeon shooting as we know it is for pest control-yes or no?answer-yes we do this under the general license allowing us to control corvids/pigeons that are damaging crops- animal fodder etc.if we are squeeky clean and toe the line there will be no reason for the antis that want all shooting banned, to argue the general license is not working-therefore posting as a few have about shooting birds on the ground gives them ammunition and it is not very sporting. so im not being a fanny -moo-i am just trying to show that i am not the only one watching what is being posted- but if you want to start

    unless you are shooting benchrest then i dont see the need to weight sort cases.for my rifles i would rather concentrate on getting my reloading consistant and not worry about internal volume of cases.i shoot .17 rem and have done for a fair few years now the rp brass is not the best in the world so sorting them for weight isnt going to help reinvent the wheel.concentrate on loading and then your shooting style and this will pay more than sorting brass.

    you also have the right to request at the time of "seizure" a reciept for all items that are taken,if not you should have requested to accompany the police to the station where the firearms were being taken i think i am correct that they canot refuse this. once there the situation would have been sorted and they apologise.although i dont think that would happen.

    i wouldnt buy anything from those Crooks. Period. i use a PVS14 Gen 3 US, This IS the best night vision in the world. expensive but you only cry once when you pay. you buy crap and you will cry many times. as he says- just what i have done

    my mate shot a heavy vixen on wed night on our shoot-some d.i.y autopsy skills and 7 cubs were about 2 weeks off being born,saves a load of hassle later on when pheasants/partridge are trying to bring on there young.

    for load development i only shoot 3 shot groups, i can tell with all my rifles if a load is going to work-when i find a good -un then i step up to 5 shots.thing is you only need one shot to kill a fox!why waste powder -primers etc chasing something that is in front of you.

    get a .22br mine at the moment is shooting 40gn blitzkings with h322 skipping along nicely at 4050fps this is in a custom rig beats the 22-250 hands down you could get the swift ackley-fied and get nearer 4200-4400 load depending but the barrel would last for 1000-1500 rounds at top accuracy even a standard swift is a nice rifle to shoot if a bit load sensative.

    you need to get out to 100yds to see how the ammo performs when you get a decent load go back to 200yds this will give you a better picture of what the rifle/ammo will do.then get handloading.above all else enjoy it.

    i shot my first cub LAST YEAR on may 9th it was about 10-12 weeks old so it could have been born end jan/feb as for this year i have knowledge of 2 digs [not me by the way]by a well known terrier man where they have had cubs seems to me that its getting slightly earlier every year is this due to mild winters?although this one is a bit cold.
