thats no way to live your life, ill ask the minister to pray for you tomorrow, although I suspect he may refuse to do so on account of that fact that although he must pray for sinners there is nothing in the book that suggests he must pray for a c**t
-
no mate you were rude and obnoxious for no reason
-
morton mate ,you are a massive fanny, I live in the hebrides, more sheep than people(you'd love it cos you'd have a new wooly wife every night of the week) I'm not interested in selling anything, what the hell are you talking about pre Georgian staff? I said he was bull not staff, that's where cock gobblers like you need to to see past their righteous indignation (on a non existent issue) and actually read what is in front of them. Grow up man and let another man conclude his business without losing your dignity your reputation and your wits over a very simple question
-
is there a moderator who can stop Morton being a knob please? Thanks flacko I'm 90% decision made just wondered if anyone had experienced the cross
-
I'm not the breeder if I was I'd be on the selling page surely, I have no intention of selling anything.

I'm not a numpty nor particularly numerous, I just asked a question. Why must people always give a negative (hypothetical) response to an honest question. I know both dogs and they are not owned by a numpty who wants to make his dogs into rabid killers, the bitch is rather quiet and timid and the dog although a typical bull type has a very good nose good build and is good with people as well as having the advantage of being leggy for a bull breed. Any way thanks for the advice on the termination, imagine if your mother had thought the same way as you

Any advice or pics of the mix appreciated

Hi i know there used to be a fellow in scotland who used to breed these dogs(or at least owned more than just one) does anyone have any details or more information? cheers
-
yeah he dosent know when to stop you are right, maybe it looked worse because he has white legs, he is stiff today unfortunately though
-
really is that to harden them up over a long period of time?
-
I took the dog out on to the moor yesterday for a walk, it was pretty frosty and while the ground wasnt frozen it wasnt as soft as it usually is.He covers alot of ground and I noticed on the way back that his paws were looking a bit raw, now today he is very stiff and kinda sore. Just as a heads up he is not a lurcher, he is a staffy cross, he aint a hunting dog so dosent do this all the time but he does run beside me while I cycle on a dirt bike for a couple miles every second or third day weather depending. Any tips on how to prevent this(other than dont take him out when its frosty) and may

yeah he s a typical crofter type who most likely wont give a shit, so it wont make a difference to him!

the vet asked if it had merle in it, seen both parents and they were a smooth haired black and white collie and rough haired black and white collie, so as far as we know no merle, but he suggested there was from the markings and as such it could have some sort of genetic defect, parents were not related as far as I know either, the only other suggestion was a liver issue, so looks like we will never know, not taking a pup from that guy again as he deliberately lied about the pups age though
-
pup died today im afraid while at the vets! My sister and her wee fella are gutted
-
My sister got a collie pup from working lines the other day and all was going well until sunday evening when the puppy started apparently fitting, they took the pup down to the vets for an emergency appointment, the vet said it looked fine and couldnt find anything wrong with it apart from the fact that it was alot younger than the crofter said it was probably about 5 weeks rather than the 7 he said it was. Now tonight I saw the pup for the first time and I too agree with the vet the pup is defo not 7 weeks, however it seemed fine and playful with the kids until it fell asleep, about half an h
-
really dont thnk so, he is they type of dog who would go though barb wire to get to a shitty wee rabbit and not seem fussed after, so its strange that his feet bother him so much when he comes inside
-
right when its wet and I take the dog out round the local woods he seems fine, but when we come in he is always chewing at his feet, to the point where he has once or twice chewed a pad raw, then he is laid up for a few days while that heals, any suggestions? I have just bought some wax stuff that they use for sled dogs paws so I will see how thats goes before vet advice. Dosent seem to have issues when its dry even after a 5 or 6 mile run beside the bike. Not a lurcher btw but a staffy type cheers John

btw what are squaters?
-
what a stunning looking dog u got mate
-
funny you should mention that my dads got a pic of his dad stood by a cart holding a dog which looks like husky x collie got good coat on it, me grandad served in ww2 so assume it was between the 1st and 2nd war era.and in dorset area. next time im down there il take a pic with phone and see if i can upload it. western isles are up in the north west of scotland mate not dorset but yeah collies are sometimes underestimted in the strength capacity
-
collies up here in the western isles have massive variation, with the smaller working dogs tending to be merle in colour and the bigger short coated dogs being as big as 25inches and looking like a husky cross, very very dog aggressive alot of the time too, my neighbour has one and he is a right b*****d, but a cracking looking animal
-
yeah the one we had was big(although it might have been cos I was small) anyways he was very dog aggressive, well I guess thats my question on OES answered
-
so no working examples in the country then I imagine!
-
is any one breeding workers of these ie not big balls of fluff? They might have made a goog cross to a greyhound in years gone by. We had one when I was a kid(an old english not a cross) and he didnt have the crazy mad hair that they have now, was a big solid dog, but seemed to like a scrap a big too much, my old man got rid of him as I think he got too much for us kids, but I have fond memories of him all the same! cheers John
