Lets be honest here...no fault of Mark's that the ground didn't hold an abundance of rabbits,Cat caught more than Tilly on the quota each ran END OF!! Cat along with Mark move on to the next round.I AM a man for the numbers,always have been always will be,i think it would be great to see the final atleast ran and decided on the most caught ALL night and not in a given time,not just a best of a dozen or so each runs...what does that prove? Let's see the cream of the crop ...No i haven't got a dog running in this comp,my dog had never even caught a rabbit before this was organised so before you

it is a bit of a shame as im sure neither dog was rally tested? imo it should have been run where numbers of 30+ for each dog were catchable, then we could have seen a proper test!! It would have been nice to see those sort of numbers out that particular night as the fields were perfect for running dogs on the lamp. But you can only catch what you see so bigger numbers that particular night weren't possible. There were no easy rabbits seen that night as has already been mentioned so it was still an exciting and close match as far as we were concerned.

Thanks for all the replies it was a top night out on some very good land. I have kept 2 pups from a litter that I bred out of Tilly and one is looking as though she is going to be a complete alrounder like her mother but with more pace so I am looking forward to next years comp already but I am hoping that somebody enters who lives between me and markbrick so I'm not out in the first round again

Thanks alot mate, he was a very good host and it was a top night. He has got a very good bitch that will take some beating I think. I wasn't expecting to win but I had said all along that she would put on a good show. He will vouch for me that she did well and he said she changed his views on bullx's. She proved they can be alrounders as we did have a bit of a half time breather

Thanks alot mate. I think Mark will agree with me that she put on a good show for a bullx and showed she is a true alrounder with her half time entertainment when she thought she would have a breather from the bunnies

As I have said in the other post was a top night with two very good dogs and the host was 10/10!! Well done to Marks dog I'm sure she will take some beating. Those sandwiches did seem to go on forever mate can hardly eat my breakfast! Stormrider will post some pics later when he is online. Tilly is a bit sore after her half time entertainment

The result last night was Cat beat Tilly by a couple of rabbits. Markbrick is through to the next round then. It was a close fought contest with each dog taking in turns for the lead til the last 20 mins when Cat crept ahead with some top class catches. He was right when he said there were no easy rabbits on his land, every chase was between 50 and 100+ metre start with no squatters!!! On the way home we were trying to work out how many we missed and I think it was something like his missed 3 and mine 5, I put a good fight anyway. It was the first time I have met Mark and was not quite sur

I thought the GSD show lines in the UK had dodgy back legs and hips, they would need a zimmer frame to catch a rabbit or do police work surely. Back to your question mate I would get a whip/grey myself, loads of speed for the rabbits and not too big either, good dogs mate

It's not me who draws and paints, I struggle to write my name. The artist is my mother in law, she has drawn just about anything you can think of. She has paintings in galleries all over the place. If you are interested in anything I can PM you an email address or phone number. I'm sure you could haggle with any prices quoted as thats part of business!!! Hope she don't mind me saying that!!
