What I have found is that the stags can run with pretty much anything hanging off them but as soon as something has a grip of the head, neck or ear they soon come tumbling down.
you are spot on brookie 100%
Ok ive been reading this post biting my tounge..
I personally dont like slipping multiple dog's on deer, It's not my cup of tea.
I think deer deserve more respect- As does the dog's that get killed in the process.
Brookie- How do you know that one has'nt?
I think I know what you are saying about not slipping more than one dog at a time.
The question is do you want to catch one though. I will admit that my dogs will not bring one down solo but they will not give up trying. I respect them but I also want to catch them. What use is a dead do
out of interest what x were they ?
Bullxs and mastiff type dog, done it quite a few times.
did they ever get slashed bye the antlers ? last qestion cheers
No mate, just mowed over by the power and weight until they get a decent hold of neck or head.
should have one here in a couple of mth's,waiting to see if the bitch take's.
Be interested to see how they work. Think they will look nice mate as you've got some nice dogs there.
Bundles of meat on it mate, going to be on the table some time on the weekend stormrider. Pop round if you want a load of it and wax jacket is more than welcome. Don't know if there is enough meat on it to fill the swede on that man though!!!
Went out for a shine tonight with stormrider and came across a group of 15-20 wild boar. Is it likely that this is the only group in the area or will there be other groups living nearby?
Ha ha nearly taken a year I think but I've got there in the end mate. The mastiffx is around 25" and 85-90lbs and is starting to show alot of interest in things now.
I will get a load of pics of Tilly up now I know how to put the pics up!!!
This is my 3/8 5/8 bullx. She has a slightly broken coat and the parents are both known and their breeding both known. This photo is when she was about 8 months old. She is 12 months old now and is turning out to be a cracker
