  1. I give mine dry food and carcusses and they've never refused to go out cos they're knackered. If you watch a dog eat a carcus it will eat the vital organs and the fat inside the skin lining before it starts on the meat. Must be something in that itself. Personally I would keep the pasta to a minimum if at all.
  2. A mate of mine worked a ex racer greyhound and it was awesome on foxes
  3. Defo alot of both, think I prefer more drive. Nice to see your dog trying 100% to catch or hold quarry.
  4. Thanks for replies, will let you know how I get on after the 23rd Feb when I'm back up there.
  5. In my statement I told them that I will nearly always catch rabbits when I walk the dogs out this particular place, which i true. I keep the knife in the back of the van and carry them back and paunch them back at the van after. I know what you mean mate, saying the wrong word and the F***in jobs worths will do you. I could have said that I had just found it near my van and picked it up and said " thank f**k you lot are here, LOOK AT WHAT I'VE JUST FOUND!" You could be on dodgey ground mate, If you haven't got permission on that land, your comments could be taken to mean you were equip

  7. Down in Devon mate, it's the first I've heard of anything like it. The old bill have pulled us over before when we are in the middle of no where with the lamp and dogs just to check we're not doing houses and seen knives and just told us to crack on and have a good night type thing. I know lads who have to walk their dogs through industrial estates in the middle of night to get to their permission and often get stopped as they have a bag on their back with a knife in it and get told to crack on.
  8. I wasn't rude to them just very shocked at what was happening and told them this. I thought that there was a robbery going on by the reaction not someone doing the hobby they enjoy!!!
  9. Have you got a number for him mate?
  10. Thanks mate, told a couple of friends and they thought I was joking.
  11. After some advice from anyone with similar experience please. I was out on Sunday afternoon with the dogs on public footpaths. I could hear a dog barking from a fairly near farmhouse which is unusual as I come out to this place quite a bit. Shortly after this the police helicopter appears overhead and my thoughts were that maybe there was a robbery of some sort going on. Anyway, I head back towards my van which is parked in the direction of the farmhouse and start to put my dogs back in as I had already been out for an hour or two, when armed response come from behind me jogging/walking alon

  13. Had the opposite effect mate. Let them look and they kept coming back and when I told them to f**k off they came back with old bill and that is last I have heard from them

Glad to hear you got them back mate. Recently had a run in with them myself. One of my lurchers was sleeping in the van about 6 weeks ago when I got a bang on the door at 2.30am!! Old bill at the door had seen it and wanted to speak to me. Cutting a long story shorter they ended up getting the vet out at 3am to have a look at old hunting scars and vet was a complete t**t aswell. This must have then been reported to the RSPCA as they have been round to see me 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Seems they think they can pop in whenever they are passing. Told them to F**K OFF last time and they turn
  16. Bought a manual meat grinder the other day. Cost £30 and does the job. It's one of those that clamps on to worktop and feed meat in top and turn handle. Hope this helps mate
  17. Never seen roe with sheep but a couple of months ago saw a herd of reds grazing with two wild boar rooting very near them!! The boar took me ages to eat

  21. Never had any probs with 3/8 5/8 bullx. Roe and fallow day and night and red at night. The red stags too powerful to stop in day as they get into top gear too quick but had stag at night.
