  1. Simmo Is the brown terrier patterdale x jack russell? Its the double of my pup, which I was told was patterdale x lakeland, I just know mine is patterdale x jack russell. How old is the brown terrier? Thanks for your time. Regards Steve

  4. Update: Hi guys, thanks for the responses in here and by PM, I really do appreciate them all. I have hooked up with a ratting fellow with terriers just 5 mile from myself, so in the New Year I'll be out and about with the pup, I'll post in here our progress. Once again thanks to all, now I've some spider flys to tie, field sports no rest, hey.

  7. Having access to a lot of land, barns, stables etc, I feel I'll go the live bolt way to get the dog started. I control rats, rabbits and moles legaly with poisons, but I want the pup to have some sport. Thanks for you input, appreciate it.

  9. Hello everyone, lot of knowledge in here, I am old enough to sort the crap from the excellent advice, I want to keep the post helpful and constructive, so please constructive posts only, thanks. Young dog patterdale / lakeland cross now 5 months old ( was 3 months in avatar pic ) ok I want to start him ratting, I have access to land with streams and working plant sheds plus bales of hay outside.   10. Thanks for the warm welcome guys, looking forward to conversing once I've had a look round. Sad to hear the Patterdale is the new "must have accessory" hope the working terrier does not get its spirit bred out of it.
