Do any of you guys use bells
Hunting-top-shots replied to Hunting-top-shots's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
I had the problem that the bells were filling up with mud so I have made a harnes to attach the bell to the top of the ferrets neck and the MK chip has also found a place on the harness it looks like a back pack on the ferrets I will get some picks this comeing W-end and post them. cheers for the answers HTS -
Hi, If you are shooting from bail hides then as Alimac said you should just leave a shooting window at the front and cover up the top anything from an old sheet with a bit of dirt and some hay on it or a camo het. another thing is you should not try and shoot at the big flocks because one shot and they all leave. try this seeing as you are set up with 3 other guys seting up the rotarys in the middel of the field and insted of putting pigeons on there put white plastic bags on and then let them run or you can try using plastic bags on floaters I have found that this tends to break up

no not talking about the Whisky, I have attached bells to the Deben coller and it works a treat if they are above ground you can hear them and the Rabbits don't seem to like the music in the den been trying it for the first time this month the Rabbits seem to bolt faster, even on burrows that I have been to before that have taken up to 30 mins are empty with in 10mins. interested to hear what you all think. Cheers HTS

Hi Mate, here are a few of the PDF's that I use in Germany to teach the Germans how to set up the decoys, there are a number of links allready in this Part of Hunting Life. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...st&id=33209 ( the blue lines are the wind direction and red and orange flight lines) http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...st&id=46415 ( never set the rotary to close to the pattern) Hope that helps they have been downloaded quite a few times. hope they help HTS
