Good thick garden gloves to save your hands mate,when you can roll her over, tickle her tummy and play with her without her trying to bite the glove it will be time to take the gloves off.It will take time to let her see you won't harm her but it will be a lot less painful. All the best P1.

Well got a jill in 3 weeks ago that had with hand on the mans heart been jill jabbed.Tw*t. Last night had a litter of 7 . So total 496 If you have not added your kits to total please do so. Thanks P1

Never lost a jill in over 50 years of keeping them for any reason(other than old age) and some have lived over 10.I have never had a jill that I didn't bred from at some point in their lives,4 years aprox., between litters.A very close friend has had jills for 10+ years never bred from them with no problems.So No was my vote. P1

I suggest you let your ferrets run around the cage or court with collars on it lets them get used to them .If one slips of because you don't know how tight to put it on it will save you a dig.Put them on in the morning and take them off in the evening depending how much practice YOU need, the ferrets soon get used to them. P1

Must admit I use tescos dried cat bickies and find that they can't stay on them long as they get very fat and have to go back to fur & feather,young do well on it.Use tined dog food now and then they love it ,Why not try a little experiment put a bole of cat bickies and bole of dry ferret in the cage and see which has gone first.P1

If you are referring to me, you are very much mistaken. 1) I'm no kid, most blokes would get offended at the age of 31 being spoken to like that... 2) The ferret was not hungry, I feed my ferrets the night before I work them and give them a little something before I work them. Well wasted another hour and a half of my life on this crap. At one end of the scale you have got some kid bating a live rabbit with a hungry ferret and thinks its a worker. I believe that breeding for anything other than working ability in ferrets will ruin them full stop. When vast sweeping statements are made it would be nice to see them backed up with fact. Most polecats have a splash of white usually on the throat does this make them not safe to breed from?. Show folk have already buggered ferrets up but all it means is you have to be careful where you get new stock.At the moment no big deal. P1
