Hunting, shooting (air rifles, shotgun and centrefire but mainly air rifles), reading, watching decent films, cars & nice women!
  1. Imho, air rifles are inherently single shot so I've stuck to that. I've found that knowing you only have one pellet available you tend to take a little more time over your shots and make them count. At present I shoot an AA S200 and a Falcon FN19TW FAC, both single shot. I'll be buying another S200 soon but a MK3-that will be multishot as I'm intending to use that as a dedicated night vision rifle and as we all know it ain't easy reloading in the dark with cold fingers. I've found that I can reload my current rifles pretty darn quick as long as I have ammo to hand. Ben
  2. All vermin from rats to rabbits. I don't see the appeal in knocking over tin chickens but I do enjoy the odd half hour spent putting together the best groups that I can on paper. Ben
  3. I've just checked my bottle Webber and it says "WC 2 5l"? Does that mean 2.5litres or 5 litres, physically it's size is much bigger than my shooting buddy's 3 litre bottle but as it's not magnetive it must be an aluminium bottle which would mean it has thicker walls hence smaller capacity so 2.5 litre could be right? What do you think. Ben
  4. Right pain in the 'arris ain't it! We used to have a cracking little Dive shop right here in Rugby that did bottle filling and testing at great prices-they were part of the 'Mike's Diving Shop' franchise. Unfortunately they decided to close down and the guy who ran that shop (Phil) has now got a little set up miles from anywhere just off junction 1 of the A14, the only other place is Midland Diving, both of these places are a good 40 mile round trip It's a good job I'm just a hunter and not into paper punching or I'd be doing some serious miles! I reckon a 12 litre bottle is in
  5. Afternoon folks, I'd always thought that my main dive bottle which I've had from new was a 7 litre, then I saw another 7 litre last weekend and it was a touch bigger than mine and the guy who's bottle it was suggested mine may be a little smaller than 7 litre. Not that it's particularly important but as I've just had it proof tested I may sell it soon and get a 12 litre so I'd like to be able to advertise it at the correct size! I bought it 10 years ago so I can't even check the receipt, it was bought from Uttings as a Falcon bottle (it has the Falcon logo on the guage) and I bought it a
  6. Very nice, I've got a few complete clap traps here with the original netting and everything (I really must get my photobook working)! Ben
  7. Evening folks, I've just re-registered so thought it best I say hi-I originally registered about a year ago but haven't been over here. My name is Ben (Hinksy is just a take people use on my surname) and I live in Rugby (Warwickshire). I'm 29 and started shooting with the old man when I was about 8 so I've been shooting in one form or another (rifle, shotgun, clays) for about 20 years. I prefer to use air rifles to anything else, I shoot a Falcon FN19 Thumbhole and a lovely MK2 blinged S200, both in .22 flavour. I'm also a big user of the Fenn trap and have a fair few running on my s
  8. For fooks sake, lads!! We are all airgunners, ain't we? We all need to stand side-by-side & united as one, especially in this current 'lets ban everything' climate This sort os slagging and infighting between airgunners doesn't help one bit, give it a rest. If you don't like the BBS, fair enough, don't go on there-but at the same time just don't slag it off!! If a proposed bill wanting to ban all air guns comes along one day, we are gonna have to be standing side-by-side as we march on paliament square on our protest rally Ben
