Hilly If you try to get your money back from paypal, whatever you do- don't mention guns as they'll knock you back (guns are major taboo with paypal) Hope you get reimbursed mate Cheers, John..

Hi Tree Tree You could go British with either a Goldstar (10shot) or a Superstar.. As already said, a TX200.. Webley mk3 (though only around 9/10 fpe) Airsporter (not usually full power either) German, Original mod50.. John

Hi there Sorry but this isn't a mk1, i think your serial starts with GL as it's got the mk6 rearsight block (the square bit in front of the loading tap. This is a mk6 (GL prefix), you can see the steel square bit that the rearsight fits to (this one has had the barrel chopped and an OX Neutraliser silencer fitted) Here are my two mk1's, they have a tapered barrel, a rearsight that is dovetailed and no scope rails (i presume a scope can be mounted to yours?) When a mk1 is cocked, the tap opens automatically and there is no rubber buttp-ad on a mk1. Here's what should be o

Hi Phantom Yes, i feel like John Wayne when i use it :D Here it is cocked (just needs the lever returning). It does look a bit strange with the WTC on, i think i'll put the original scope back on (if i can remember which it was ) John

I had a go at curing a leak on my Career, by replacing a few seals, it had been leaking for quite a while and put out of sight (i was fed up with the thing leaking!) Anyhow, when i rebuilt it, it was hissing loudly (yup- i made it worse ) I replaced two more seals that go under the end cover (where the foresight is attached) and that cured it completely I shot a couple of mags down the garden and then noted the reserve, today it's still at the same pressure so is finally in full working order I stuck a Simmons WTC 1.5-5x20 on and reduced an apple to bits all over the garden in

Hmm, as Phantom says- it's putting up a good account of itself but is useless without a good operator, myself i'm a really crap shot, those wabbits would probably have been laffing at me John

I've collected airguns for years (though i don't shoot very much ) For the consistency and ease of hitting stuff, i prefer my PCP's and Co2 but for being self contained and having a nice bit of recoil, i prefer the springers... Of these pre charged, i think my favourite (as a tool for seeing off ferral pigeon at work) is the stealth but i like nice timber so i think the Daystate comes in just ahead (2nd from left).. As for springers, i must say, i'm more partial to vintage stuff, i have to admire the quality of workmanship of any vintage stuff be it guns, cars, motorcycles or a

Hi I have one of these big chunky underlevers but the cylinder end plug (which is plastic) has broken into pieces so i'm supposed to be making one on my lathe but there's all sorts of rubbish on the lathe so when i can work up the enthusiasm, i'll start shifting all the crap and have a go Here's the gun but all the trigger parts are in a plazzie bag John

WOW- That's seriously great stuff!! I'm not so lucky, if i fell in a barrel of tits- i'd come out sucking me thumb John

Hi Topnotch The cat is still at large (keeps hanging around but won't come in!!) the wife chased the fox out of the garden a couple of nights ago, it went like a grehound apparently!!! She's scared me a couple of times too  John

DAMNATION!!!!- i just exploded tea everywhere (i'll have to get the said wife into cleaning mode now ) Well the 'orrible old red will be left alone now as out moggy was spotted on thursday just four gardens away so when he's done chasing the local she cats, he'll probably come home and sleep for a week!!! Cheers all!! John

Hmm- that's a bugger, How would one go about getting rid of them?? The hole looks to go fairly deep.. It was in the back garden last night, it buggered off when the wife went out, i think i'll have the sword ready at the door, if i see the thing i'll chuck the sword at it , or i reckon it would be easy to make a couple of spears with steel tips to launch at them (i used to throw javelin at skosh!! ) Now for the next barmy question- is it legal to kill a fox with sa spear?? (i've developed a loathing for the flea ridden red gits!!) Cheers, John..

The way in was very clean until i chopped the shrubs from in front of it, i chopped much of it with the sword but then the thicker trunks (around two inches) i chopped with the loppers today to get the picture.. i didn't even notice the hole, it was the wife who saw it when she was looking for the cat.. I'm glad it aint a badger anyhow as there was one a couple of years ago outside our backdoor (eating the remnants of the cats supper!). I heard a noise on the patio (a loose slab that wobbles), i ran into the conservatory the thing looked up at- even though there was a large double gla

Hi all We have a cat from the rescue centre that is scared to death of everything (he's petrified of carrier bags for some reason),he went out on sunday night and didn't come back 'til tuesday night but wouldn't come in, a little later, around 11pm, the wife heard him scream at the bottom of the garden, she said she thought a fox had got him, so i went down the garden like a lunatic wielding a 325 year old samurai sword, if i had seen the git, he would have been like sliced bacon now Anyhow, behind the shed is an area that isn't used (there is a shed of the person on the next road too

That's great- Thanks Regards, John

Hi all I recently bought an old Anschutz mod 275 which is a 4.4 (.173) repeating bb gun. Now in my Hillers guide to airguns, the auther says that BB shot for shotgun cartridges were the exact size that these guns were made to fit!! I've scoured the interweb for Shotgun reload supplies but can't find anyone the sells the BB size lead shot Can anyone help please?? I'm also told by the chap i bought the gun from that the diving weight bags that fit on a belt are filled with lead shot and that these fit but i'm not so sure, if they do fit then that would be great as that can b

Webley junior for sale. Highly collectable.
johnbaz replied to foyrious's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
What I meant was is it the one where you pull the barell back to load it ,with the barell sat on the top off the action? D.D. I think you an overlever Hi Tonka What condition is your junior in as this affects the price that they command?? 170 is the batch number.. Here's my overlever collection, the two on the left are juniors, i acquired them cheaply at £35 each, the bottom pistol in the centre row is a mk2 junior (ally frame), from memory i paid the same for that one too (all from the same chap ) BTW, don't take these prices as a figure that -
Phantom You'll probably be best ringing the plodshop and informing them that you'll in the cemetary doing some legal vermin control and to expect calls from the busy-body public, this will probably help the police and not waste their time coming out with the armed response team.. John

Hello Jai Most air pistols will only develop low muzzle energies (my webley pistols are typically 3ft lbs) but the hw45, webley alecto and the benjamin/sheridan/crosman EB, E9a and 22** crosman series of Co2 pistols are up near the legal limit but personally, i wouldn't use a pistol on a pigeon (or anything really) as it would have to be a bang on head shot and that may not make a quick kill either, it's always better to use a rifle with more power available and better accuracy 8) John
