They were hunting within the law. Like I have already said this fox was bolted to a shotgun! I have no idea why the hounds were anywhere near, the fox wasn't even hunted!
-
Got no idea mate. Like I said it was a visit day and the terrier man was asked to try bolt one for the gun! Rusty came out right behind as he does normally with his regular pack! I have seen him run with the hounds for half hour before he was caught and put back on the bike.

Yeah your not wrong mate it was one of his best dogs!
-
Na the lad out with the terrier man who saw it couldn't be sure which ones it was! Think he would have done it himself there and then.

A mate of mine yesterday was out on a visiting day with another pack of hounds. He bolted one with a Russell dog who was out right behind like he always dose! The dog was then killed by a couple hounds! Terrier man was pissed off to say the least! This ever happened to anyone else?

A friend of mine had a couple of Carl Williams whippets back in the 90 s. One of them used to catch a good few. He seemed to have endless stamina.

any 1 else run true 1/2 x bull x gh
stormrider8 replied to the big chief's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
My cousin has one and i have a 3/8 cross from her. The half bitch has quite a different running style putting everthing into each run where as the 3/8 bitch will conserve a little more, as you would expect with a little less of the bull. The half cross always very exiting to watch.. -
Wellingtons..muck boots, aigle etc
stormrider8 replied to canaliculata's topic in Hunting Boots & Clothing
I have had a pair of muckboot tay for 3 years now they are looking a bit tatty as the neoprene does get torn but they are still waterproof and warm and going strong!! The Aigle boots are also neoprene lined now and are very good but a little more expensive. -
Foxing with lurchers on the fells 1 2 3

Those dogs do very well hunting them foxes on that vast open ground but on the other hand think they would fail to catch on smaller fields where the foxes would have a chance of getting away. Even doubled up they struggle to take the opportunity quick enough, any fox i my opinion would lap up that advantage and be gone. Good at what they do on that ground but definatly not fox dogs. i have never killd a fox so i wouldnt no but you say not fox dogs butt when i watched this film they killd the foxs over and over butt isn't a fox dog a dog what kills fox's ? just theas dogs have diferent tekn -
