  1. I start with 3 or 4 miles and build up to around 6, a slow trot just so all 4 feet are moving at different times, not so they are folding up and the front and back legs are moving together. I do this a few times a week for about 6 weeks, sorts them right out.
  2. If your dog is not used to walking on the roads, there pads will take a battering if you start biking them. I would road walk them for a week, then start with the bike. Cheers mate
  3. Crackin looking bitch mate, hope she comes good. What is she?
  4. Every dog i have had has been different mate. I have kept all at the same level of fitness by the same method for years. Some you can lamp nearly every night without burning them out and others look stiff and tired after 3 or 4 hard nights. Its all about knowing your dog and its limits.
  5. At least every other night for an hour or so in the week, then a long one on the weekends. Also daytime stuff with the terriers.
  6. Collie x are well known for it mate. Not sure theres much you can do about it.
  7. have to get there fast , or theres not much worth saving , ........ eating stewed meat all the time wears a little thin after a while Yes mate, luckily mine mostly bites one certain area and loses all interest when its dead. so not to much damage.
  8. Dont need to be small for cover, just a little agile. Seen some outstanding 3/8 5/8 bull x catch a wide range of things in cover. Clever, nimble and an excellent nose to hunt on. Only trouble is battling through miles of trees to find them when they catch
  9. Iv been out twice now. Just started getting my bitch fit, a bit of work on the bike and a few little lamping sessions. Theres still loads of un cut crops so its hard work. But the fields are crawling with rabbits. Still loads of half grown around though.
  10. This is a bitch with a broken coat, shes out of a litter of bull greys. Turned out to be an outstanding dog. Picture not to good..
  11. No mate there exactly same as deben sell. Without the £100 price tag.
  12. Loads online mate. You can buy them direct from Yuasa same cheap stuff that Deben used, not sure if they still do iv not bought from them for years. Dont think they are the cheapest. Google dry cell battery, you can get a 17 to 20 ah for about 34 quid.
  13. Get one of the light force mate and you can pick up a 14ah dry cell online now for next to nothing, or a little extra for a 20ah which will last all night.
  14. If he wanted one it should have been picked before they were ready to go. You cant be expected to hold the litter back for him.
