Jackson, this pic is from a couple months ago just before he started on game, I liked this pic and thought I would post it.. He is my first Nuttall line dog and he is doing well so far, 6 Coon and 70 Nutria...

Looking strong, funny to see healer looking pups with flop ears LOL... Cant wait to see them at 6 and 12 months.. C.J.

Good looking dog, that is what they look like here but a bit smaller, 35-45lbs range.... I like the red but almost all around here are Blue healers... Looks like its getting the job done and in style, I could see why you are doing the cross now fireman... Y.I.S. Christian J.

This is where it gets tricky as IMO a dog that bites the "ass" is a coward.. If they wont go head to head w/ the bull it is not confident IMO.. I lived where cattle ranching is a every day thing and have seen many dogs work cattle and this is just my thoughts... Plus when I talk Borders I am not talking soft sheep dogs I am talking "COW DOGS" used to bring in free range cattle(even then you need a BMC most of the time).. Now this may be what you are looking for a more sneeky dog I dont know that is why I asked, we use most lurcher types for yote and a ass biter will get culled quick.. Aga

Fireman, What type of work has the healer seen (here we call them ACD healers)... I am wondering what you are looking for out of this cross.. We have a lot where I grew up and they are more drovers than herders and kinda soft (ass biters) compared to a good cow border collie or curr dog... Not trying to start anything just get an idea of what you think they will be like and what you want them to do...

I am going to get a pure Airedale and it will come from Odon Corr, he raises the TRUE dale and I am excited to have one to work..

The brindle is 1/2 Airedale the Blue is 1/4.. The stag is a better choice and that is what the breeder of my pup is going w/ next time, more durable than a grey.. The key is to use an Airedale that will jump on a lion or bear w/o hesitation, this is the true Airedale and most now are used for trapping and not anywhere near as gritty as they should be, an Airedale should be tougher than a bulldog smarter than a collie and as durable as a tank... I have seen a lot and only a couple that are what I would call a true Airedale... (Example... If you are hunting hog and they dont catch you are n

This IS the nicest pup I have had PERIOD!!!!!!!! I have never seen such "FIRE IN THE BELLY" as I have seen in this lil pup... Not even in my game dogs!! He has a true drive to get the fur!!! I will pm you some pics... I would like to add, every pup in this litter that has seen fur has gone NUTS, Rob Carver did a great job on this breeding and I thank him, you and Scott for getting him here to me !!!!!!!!

My friends Airedale/Staghounds, vary rough dogs and will kill a yote if they can catch it, but mostly worked w/ terriers catching bolters, marking, finishing, etc., (High Country line Airedale used for cross were hog dogs in Cali.) My bull/airedale X grey, 5 months, coming on strong,(Sandhill line Airedale from Henry Jonson used crossed on a game bred APBT)

It's mad! I bloody loved it when given the chance 4 years ago. Them Coon are fierce. If ever any of you get chance or an invite over there, jump at it, you won't regret it! Looks like you had a good day there boys Is that a Jagd Terrier you have there? The guys I stayed with kept 'em and I thought they were cracking little tykes. Happy huntin' Yes that is 2 Jagds dam and daughter.. The rest are US bred Patterdales... Anyone looking into buying a coonhound better have a lot of treeing game around or they will hate that dog, you can hear a good coon hound brawl at 1mil

This was my first time hunting coon and the dogs did well.. It was a blast!!!!!!!!!! We should have brought the lurchers but it was a long trip and not enough room in the car.... We had a lot bolt that could have been accounted for by them and I think they would have liked it.. The coons were killing all the guys pheasants so hopefully he will have more luck with his birds now.. C.J. ALL QUARRY TAKEN WITHIN THE LAW

Keep an eye on that "Blue" dog as I think he will be one, his dad is, come on Rocks put up a pic of "Stitch".. Have you had him running at all or is he still to pupish? C.J.

They have been bred just to catch yotes, and the deerhound is of the old type brought to our country originally 200yrs ago not the same as is seen today, more old wolfhound type... Plus from what I have read it looks like some were crossed with the original type Great Dane as well..

Some of my Gyps badger hunting
bluecollar replied to bluecollar's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
When I was a kid we would play w/ any dead ones we found and I have gotten a couple, not painful going in but coming out is painful, It is best to do a couple (20ish)and then let the dog rest a bit then start again.. -
Some of my Gyps badger hunting
bluecollar replied to bluecollar's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Yes they are to ground, they are nomadic and were caught in one of their feeding holes (from digging for gofers)... no most setts are shallow unless you get where they really live and that is not common.. The biggest so far was 40lbs.. They live in sandy soil so digging away is the #1 thing, they can dig 3ft per min.... -

sort the terier out first mate and stop worrying about spoffing thats a disgrace u should be more worried about her than taking pics They are in the process of taking them out when the pic was taken, believe it or not they have taken about 1/4 out already  ... The pic was taken for me so I would know how bad she was.. so what ever "spoffing" is that is not what was going on.. so thanks for the thought but worry about your own dogs... no infection but a lot of trauma and they burrow in and will pop out weird places (eyes, noise, mouth, etc.) for a long time. will ruin the -
here are some pics of the two gyps I sent to be worked by my friend.. so far they are at 13 badger (North American)& 16+fox (6 dead in the ground by terriers) Pic from after todays badger hunt, Emma (nuttall,13months, on left), Juice(22months, heavy Arnie bit of nuttall, on right), Juice has taken 90% of the Quarry but Emma is turning on quick with a couple solo foxes and one solo badger under her belt, she is becoming a real fireball.. last week, earlier that day, juice with stags on a yote.. And one more gyp sent to a different friend, Daisy, arnie/nuttallXgo

All healers are born white...

Looking good Craig, wouldn't mind looking at a dog like that in my yard looks to be a strong one ... Is he off of your stuff?? C.J.

Lucy is a nice bitch and we think her daughters off of her last litter will be nicer so we will wait and breed them, he really only breeds for him self and I think he wants to cross her on a Patt next if he ever breeds her again.. I plan to only do crosses w/ my gyp as the pure jagds range to much for the work we do(they work but it is a bit harder to keep on top of them and some places we hunt are small).. C.J.
