  1. I have tried some airedales and wish they were everything you read about in old books but I think it is sadly just not true.
  2. Here in the usa there are not many people working airedales pure. If you seen a really good Black Mouth Cur you would understand why.
  3. Jawn come on out west to Oregon.... We got some that will run a track for you. Tanners Kracken dog has run several tracks over 600yrs. It would be awesome if you could drop off some little Jagds too as all the ones I have seen or owned were much to large.
  4. If you cross a good lurcher to a tall good hound you have what I think you are looking for.
  5. Seems like a man named Pittman posted it as a dog he knew or owned. I lived in Oregon for a long time and ran with houndsmen but only had a couple my self I always hunt terrier and lurchers.
  6. Dan where did you get the picture and the false information. was it from the Big Game Houndsmen site? who made the original post?
  7. Its not the tracking we had a problem with. we used Walkers, lurchers just there to push hard after the jump. problem was we never got more bobs with the lurchers. they tree well and track and tree coon and such but they can't course in deep snow. A good med sized Walker with long legs is the best for bobs.
  8. I run. lurchers in the USA. for running in the trees you want a short back and heavy rear. better at turning and acceleration. should be interesting cross.
  9. There is a nephew of his that dose hunt bobs and such he is a, Grey/ Bull/airedale x Stag/airedale male crossed on a Plott hound. He is super good and really gritty at about 50lbs.
  10. As far as I know they are the only two left. The first litter there are only two left too they are about 7. Hard as nails but short coat and smaller.
  11. Bird.... he is really gritty and what ever he catches up to dies. he has never seen a bob but he would kill one. he drew an otter the other day damn thing was mean as hell.
  12. His name is Boone and he wasn't even a yr old. make sure of your info before yoy start posting pics of others dogs on the net. I ask you not to post my pictures other places!!
  13. We ran bears to get them to tree ASAP. lurchers are not good at running cats. once the bob was jumped the lurchers would try to course it but in the snow they just ended up loosing steam.
  14. That is my dog. that picture was taken when we were running out side of Brothers Oregon. He is from Illinois and was bred by Rob Craver and is a littermate to Dans Junior dog. Stag x Bull/Airedale. he has never been run on bobcats but I used his brother to and used to use some Jagds to bolt bobs from the rocks. We used Walkers to run cats. Lurchers came in case
  15. Dan E. Red dog and Boone are vary different dogs, the only real thing they have in common is a ton of grit and will run the brush.. Red is way smart but he has done his job a lot, Boone is strong and faster than he looks, I am going to try to breed him to a daughter of stitch if my buddy will let me..
  16. Dan M. my advice on the cross breeds is that even with good blood not vary many will get the traits you want..
  17. Dan E. I dont care for jagds but have thought about breeding Reds sister to a patterdale I gave a guy in Idaho.. But before I got Red I did have a similar breeding set up, breeding Cookie to a jagd from Jimmy Gibbs, looking back I should have.. It always sounded like a good idea..
  18. I thought about doing this type of breeding for coon and such but got airedale/bull Cross lurchers and they do real good and the one with stag is a tracking winding freak, I would just find a real small female stag to breed tp,, jm2c... And they will stop a bob race quick....
  19. G2G I have two off the gh and one off stich.. Going to start breeding them together this next yr for friends..
