  1. I can make a purse net but i watched somone doing on a dvd last night and his are as follows 1-run 11 loops 2nd run 13 loops 3rd to 18th run 15 loops 19th run 13 loops 20th run 12 loops 21st run 11 loops This seemed to be a very big purse net so how do you configure your nets. These where for rabbits cheers fergie
  2. I will soon be on the look out for a Shotgun is there anything i should look out for or makes/models i should avoid? i'm thing of getting a o/u 12g multi choke this will be mainly for phesants and may be the od rabbit cheers fergie
  3. a .177 fly’s faster and straighter than a .22 giving you a more forgiving calibre for the point of aim but a . 22 does seem to hit harder I hunt with a .177 and the rabbits don't complain I only do head shots and a .177 will kill it as well as a .22 I take rabbits for 8-45 yards on a regular basis if you take close shots i.e. only to 20yrds you could use a flat head pellet giving a more knock down i use either JSB domed or Logun penatrators and the loguns hit fooking hard and now they don't put my gun above 12ftlb
  4. In one of the books i have by Dave Bezzant he lets his swim in calm rivers/ponds in the summer he shows 1 or 2 photos in his book.Ocassionally when i did bath my lot in the summer months they did,nt seem to keen to swim just clawed frantically to get out & be dried...should think they will be good swimmers when need be not something i think they would do by choice tho.. Mine go swimming if you have never seen it its wort it they fold ther legs back and swim like croc's as for feeding fish mine have had prawns and sprats and liked them both
  5. I think there between £4/500 but thats with a scope thats what i could have got the wife a AAS410K for about 6-9 months ago
  6. great guns out the box lads you both got means of filling them up?? just get out and zero and group and away you go
  7. one of the hobs the biggest one now is from this year as is my biggest jill polcat my other polcat jill is two this year and my other hob I dont know as i have had im 2-3 years but i rescued him so i don't know how old he was when i got him
  8. also as a ex match fisher man turned carp fisher man whem match fishing your target fish is one that swims the only fish usualy not aloud to be weighd in is a pike and as a carp angler you only after carp and usualy big ones so if a lake had 1000 fish in it the match man would be will/trying to catch any one of say 900 of them but if the other 100 where carp of say between 15lb-40lb a carp angler would be trying to catch the carp in the higher weight bracket say 20lb-40lb so they may only be 20-30 fish in the lake that the carp angler is trying or wants to catch
  9. I have know the owners of Acebaits and Catcherbaits and we used there boilies
  10. they were caught using boilies, the catfish is 54lb and was one i caught in france we were there a week we caught just over 1 tonne of fish between the 3 of us and the others are from different times at a lake near me in kent the bottom pic is a leather carp at 32lb4oz
  11. my ferrets a few picturs for you
  12. Thanks for that Spike. I bought the HW100K from my local shop in the end. Just finished fixing the sling studs to the fine walnut stock thankfully didn' t damage it in the process. It can' t outperform my old S410 because I reckon that was good as 100% on accuracy, but the HW100 feels user friendly and I like the side lever cocking, which is very light and surprisingly quiet. Just need some calm weather so I can zero the scope and get out and use it. The Weihrauch looks and feels better put together than the AA did, which I think I sold at the right time. Is there an idiot' s guide to posting
