    I am attempting to copy a catapult i saw on ebay USA,the shank is long and is carved into a chain in one piece without splitting or joining the wood at all,this is a very arduous task and has taken 7 hours to get to the stage that i am at now, i had hoped to use my dremel for the intricate separation of the links but the brushes broke and so i used a 3 inch section of scroll saw blade, i still need to do the sanding and the grooves for the flat bands,oh yes nearly forgot,the last link will be a wooden padlock. thanks for looking.

    very true or it could be a chaps money for fines and he is now in default and looking at prison and his kids going into care.swings and roundabouts mate doing whats right may not give imediate satisfaction but long term its for the best. dont get me wrong i have been in the shit financially and may have kept the money,on other occasion i found one and was rewarded well for my honesty,the chap gave me the cash anyhow,and sent a letter to the local paper which was published,this later helped with job search and the like.

    apparently not,you dont need to adhere to a set curriculum,a county chap will pop in once a year to see whats going on and just check they are getting an education,we are saving a bout £50 a week on petrol alone and the kids are much happier. there's no having to set the day round the school ,no rushing back from shopping etc to pick them up.it all came about due to the council not supplying school transport as our kids werent known to the authorities! had they been little sods and us parents druggies or asbo brigade the county would have helped! go figure! still its done us a favour.     just started home-schooling my kids,boy is it easier than using a regular crap school! i was wondering if any here do the same or have done? things are a lot easier and we can combine rural passtimes into lessons,thursday we went collecting staves for making walking sticks,this was a natural history lesson,i was supprised by the number of plants,trees ,bird and stuff they had learned from us,luckily near us a hedge is being laid,sadly the layers just burn the wood they cut out,some of which is very nice looking stick making wood. along the way we managed 2 catty forks aswell. heres some pics

    sadly i never saw it but i feel robbed by the bloody animal rights lot and the government,i would pay to see such a sight.
