  1. dont get any of that sort of bother here , the local plice dont give a stuff! one day i bumped into the local copper when i was returning from a bowhunting foray , he didnt even bat an eyelid! he had a pull on the bow and we chatted about the medieval archers and the bows on the mary rose!!!

Recently I chanced upon an orchard of pears , within 20 minutes i was off with 30lb of pears! 99% of my fruit preserving is done with hermeticlly sealable jars , to you and I kilner or L'parfait jars. heres an intresting recip[e which will be relished on christmas eve with some whipped cream! 3lb of pears peeled cored and quatered 1 pint of dark mead. a pinch of cinamon. fill the jar full bar 1 inchof thetop then pour over the mead and cinamon mix.place in a boiling pan as per normal hot bath principle for 1 1/2 hours. You may remember a couple of months ago i baught a lurcher pup and was due to pickhim up when he was 8 weeks , to cut a long story short i was stitched up , the breeder sold it to a higher bidder and i havent seen a penny of my money back! still this satuday i am meeting with a view to homing 2 lurchers , mother is a semi rough faun colour 6 year old at27inch and her daughter 12 months old at 25inches. the owner is unable to give them all the attention they need and was looking to home them.the mother works to a lamp well and the pup is getting there. ille keep e posted on t

  11. apparently the CB liscence was abolished in 1998 ,it would appear that there is a researgence in the old CB's at the moment,i may well get one again !

  15. Any one here used to have one ?? for those too young to remember they were a 2 way radio that was very popular in the 70's and 's . In some ways they were the forerunner of the Internet forums of today . All users would have a 'handle' or nick name used to identify themselves much as on forums today , i was known as 'fish' even back in those days my mum was known as 'green eyes' , i never 'met' a 'rubber duck' of the movie fame! they had 40 channels on basic models channel 14 was universally accepted as the meet up point on the CB and you would use it to see if your mate or anyone you wan
